Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2900
(09/17/2011) Lots of shocks on the front end.
“This is a 1950 Jeep Willys. It ran good good like month ago, the fuel pump seems to be not working at best now, it’s a universal in-line pump. It has a 289 Ford engine, plenty of power. New rubber and wheels. 3 speed manual. I believe it has dana 44’s axles. It does have some surface rust but nothing serious.
It also has a rear diff leak, It looks like it just needs a new gasket on the cover and one of power steering hose slowly leaking.
If you want to buy it, I can deliver it within 50 miles for free. I can do trade or partial trade”

(03/29/2011) I think this is a CJ-3A, but it’s hard to verify with all that cammo paint.
“1951 Willys Flat Fender Jeep. This jeep is in good condition for a restoration project or it can be driven just like it is. The jeep has been setting for about 3 years. The previous owner told me it was running when he parked it. I haven’t tried starting it. Just don’t have the time to mess with it. I’m needing to sale it fast. CJ3-A parts, full running gear with rear pto. $7000 for all. Will separate projects.”

It’s a project.
“1951 Willys Jeep w/ title -Model CJ- w/ 351 motor, auto trans & transfer case from a ’88 Ford F250 truck. Nothing is hooked up, motor is just sitting in engine compartment, transfer case is sitting on the floor. Straight axle front end, Big Tires – 37″ good shape. Jeep is a roller, brakes not hooked up. Has a soft top with doors, not sure on the condition of the top (doors look good). Would make a good project for the winter. Probably 98% of parts are there, just needs some assembly and maybe some fab. Price is firm, very good deal for all that is there. Let me know, Dalton”

The seller lists this as a CJ-2A, but it might be a CJ-3A.
