Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1951 Willys Jeep for someone into restoring autos… This guy has been sitting under cover but needs a restorers touch. I am selling this for my landlords.. original asking price was $1500 but the landlord has come to their senses and is letting me sell it for $700…. This fella needs to find a new home asap…. I really want him out of my garage!!!”

(04/17/2010) Lots of quality work on this ‘old’ willys. The builder made an unusual decision with the dash. Note the packaging, with the PTO and parts in a suitcase, stuff in mini filing containers, and more. There are a TON of pics to review.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
It’s unclear exactly what the foundation for this jeep is, but the body is definitely stainless. The soft top is unusual too; note the buttons up the side.

The seller lists this a a 1951, but it looks more like a VEC CJ-2A.
“This Jeep is complete and has the hard tin top. It ran a year ago when I parked it, I think maybe the carbureator needs cleaned now. 4cylinder motor and 3 speed transmission… 4×4 …Clear AZ title, ready to go! Will trade for a jet ski or a quad or ???”
