Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I am selling my Willys CJ3B. It runs great! Has the classic Willys hydraulic pump system, including the hydraulic cylinder and plow, which all works beautifully…that alone is worth some dough… I don’t have much of a driveway, but I used it to plow my driveway all last winter anyways. All the mechanics work well, but the body was in tough shape when I bought it.. I welded on some steel and cut off the bed because it was literally falling off the frame. I was planning on making a wooden bed on the back, but I have lost interest in this project. Buy it and fix it up, or buy it for parts. Sadly I never had a title for it…but there are ways around that if you are resourceful”

(01/12/2016) Looks ready for some fun. It sounds like the seller doesn’t know much about it.
“II have a 55′ CJ3B flat fender with a strong running 400 horse 327 with a Saginaw 4spd and Dana equipped. It has power rack and pinion steering, power brakes and hydraulic clutch. This is an older build in need of some TLC and maybe paint. Appears to have been set up for sand drags originally with quick release shocks and wheelie bar mount! ”
Not sure there is much value.

Looks solid.
“Willys 1954 CJ3B. Runs perfect, drives great, stops like a 1954 should.
The good: Mechanically went through,top to bottom. New brakes,lines,wheel cylinders,master, brake hoses. 4 new leaf springs and hangers make it stand straight and ride like new. 4 new shocks.
New tie rod ends and a Tight steer installed in box from Walacks.
New exhaust system.New clutch,pressure and throw out bearing. New emergency brake system installed which holds good.
Seller notes this has two batteries?

The seller lists this as a 1953 model, but the serial number suggest it is a 1954 jeep.

Replaced all trunion bearings, wheel bearings, axle seals, knuckle ball seals, steering stabilizer and tie rod ends in 2009.
Installed new quiet exhaust in 2015.
Runs, drives and tows great. Ready to go hunting.”
