Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Not much jeep left in this four wheeler.

Looks like there are lots of parts there.
“I have a willys cj3b for sale for my dad. No title . Has been used for a woods jeep for years and hasn’t been run in several years. Motor is believed to seized up, all parts are there. Body is complete but rusty, tires and wheels have been changed since pictures were taken and it will roll around easily now. Once again it is being sold as is non running and needs to be trailered. Would also consider straight trade for a three point five foot disc for tractor.”

“350 Chevy – GM 4 Speed Transmission – Dana 18 Transfer Case – Warren Overdrive – Sleeved rebuilt Dana front end – Rear Dana 44 Full Floating rear axle – 456 gears – True Track front end – Detroit Locker rear – Transfer case and overdrive rebuilt less than 1 year ago – Warren 9.5 Wench mounts front or rear – Soft top with doors and mesh bikini top – 4 Wheel disc brakes – Power steering – tilt wheel – Suspension front seats – Marine Amp & Speakers set up for iPod or satellite radio – Drives great on and off road. 10K or best offer.”
TJ relayed this story of his missing CJ-3B.
He writes, “So I have a scam, of sorts, to post. I had a beautiful 53 3B, 90% restored. Last major piece was an overhaul. I met a mechanic: Joe Jump here in Seattle, his references checked out and he towed the Jeep to his ‘garage’. Long story short, the guy is a meth addict and convicted car thief. So he has my Jeep probably somewhere between Seattle and Portland. My wife and I have been watching craigslist religiously with no luck. He has had the Jeep since mid August.”

This looks solid, though the paint is a little rough on the passenger side.

“1953 JEEP CJ3B Barn find, no title, body is decent, has a full metal top and doors. Engine is apart, needs rebuilt. We have a1960s Chevy 4 cylinder that will go with the JEEP, also have a set of 1960s JEEP axels with 3:73 gears to go with it. Must sell ASAP, loosing our storage space!”

“Have a complete 1953 Cj3b. Not running and hasn’t for over 20 years. It does roll though!. Good for parts, tub is pretty rusted out.”
