Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1953 Willys Jeep CJ3b. 4 cylinder overhead valve. New fuel pump, newer barrey. Runs drives. Calls only Will not answer any text messages. Local sells only. Will not ship.”
A little rough, but may be worth a look.

(03/29/2013) This has a few patches, but it runs and drives.
“Dad bought this new. I’m the 2nd owner. Have title. Runs and drives. Needs brake work. Body is functional w/no holes in floor pan. Frame is in excellent shape. New radiator. Best offer w/reserve. Drivers door and rear hatch are available.”
Needs wiring.
“1954 Willy’s CJ3B Jeep with high hood. Has original 4 cylinder overhead valve. New body work done with new paint. New tires with aluminum wheels. Original wheels included. Jeep needs new wiring as it was removed for body work.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
(09/13/2013) It’s got some rust.
“Don’t know the year and has no title. Was running great in 1986, and has been stored under cover or in a barn since then. Has some body rust, but only minor surface rust on frame and drivetrain. Trans. won’t go in gear, but transfer case seems to shift normal. Motor turns over but has no spark. I just sold the property where this was stored and loaded it onto one of my trucks so I would like to go ahead and get this sold (it is outside now). Local delivery may be possible.”
Here’s a nicely modified 3B. I will be in Seattle this weekend.
“Built for hunting & summer fun. This Willy’s has been together a long time, old school built. Buick V-6, T-90 tranny, T-18 twin stick transfer case.
Dana 44 rear end with Detroit locker with Summer Brother axels. The front has a tru-trac locker. Both 538 gears, Excellent tires and wheels. Swampers 33×12.50, Warn 8274 wench, full cage, tilt wheel. List goes on.
This Willy’s is very well maintained. Adult owned and driven. I also tow bar for flat towing. Just like any other Jeep comes with extra parts. These pictures were taken two weeks ago and the wench and tires do go with the Jeep. This Jeep is not apart in my garage. This is a turn key Willy’s.

This runs and ‘moves’.
“62 Willys. 3 speed,good frame,Engine starts right up. Could use points though. Front pass leaf pack broke. Does move,Brakes are very hard though. Been off the road for a long time. But EXCELLENT project. Price is $600 FIRM FIRM FIRM and NO TRADES. ”
This might be worth a look.
“This was rebuilt about 20 years ago and has been kept in a garage. My father-in-law used to run it around the neighborhood for fun. Front tires are dry rotted and the brakes need work. Engine runs great and the rest is in good mechanical state. Has some rust spots and will need some work. Call 412-655-9793.”
