UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500.
“1961 Willy’s Jeep/This Jeep has been mildly restored, many new parts “listed Below” running and driving condition.
Original 4 Cylinder Engine, good compression. 3 Speed transmission, working 4 Wheel Drive Hi and Low. Runs cool, will idle good, I have been cruising this around Jax. for a year or so. Cruises 40-45 in 3rd. Chassis was sent to Rustles Military Vehicles for a suspension overhaul. Brakes, Wheel Cylinders, Brake Lines. Ujoints, Tie Rods, 4 Leaf Springs, Shackle Kit, Grease Fittings & Hanger Brackets.
Body was blasted, fixed in a few areas and smoothed out. It is the original body. It has a few bumps and humps, areas that were fixed. The only thing we covered up was the Drop Down Tool Box, under passenger seat. You can buy a replacement box and weld in. We have covered it and sprayed the inside for functionality. Color is an original color scheme. Seats are Marine Plywood and Marine Naugahyde.
Working manual wench on front bumper. Fold Down front Wiendshield. Roll Bar – not pictured. Ready to use Tow Bar – not pictured. I have 10k invested & have receipts on all.
New Parts: Engine; Fuel Pump; New Carb. + Original Carb Rebuilt; Manifold Gasket; Head was rebuilt, Engine has good cylinder pressure 105-110. Starts good, smokes a little, leaks a little puddle Oil after running awhile.
Transmission: Have new throw out bearing. We were going to trade the core in for a rebuilt trans, $600. I have the info for that. Working ok, it is not a race car.
New Extras: Tires; New Gauges; Steering Wheel; Wiring; Gas Tank, New Sending Unit. Lights, Rear Lights, Blinkers; Speedometer Gauge Cluster; Oil Pressure Gauge; Shifter Plate and Boot Rings; Windshield; Clear FL Title, Registered & Insured. I can help arrange the Transportation if needed. Open for trades, you transport.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1900.
This has been patched a few times and needs work.
“1960 Willys Jeep. with GM V-6 Runs and drives. The steering could use a little tweeking. either, rework the drag link, or a dropped pitman arm, but it’s drives good enough for the woods. Has had it’s share of patching over the 50 years. Needs a right front wheel cylinder, and a wind shield. Comes with clear Florida title.”
UPDATE: WAs $4300. **SOLD**
Apparently this has a Navy Tag.
“For sale a very nice 1953 Jeep Willys CJ3B. This Jeep does have a Navy tag so it was used by the Navy. The drive train is all original and it runs and drives perfect. It does have the 12 volt conversion but the rest is all original. The Frame is also perfect with no rust and the tub is very solid as well. I coated the frame and the tub with POR 15 so it is sealed up. The interior has very nice seats and I just put in a rubber floor covering. The jeep comes with the original military wheels and tires. For an extra $200 you can have the brand new Crager wheels and tires that are in the picture. Also with the sale is an extra windshield. The top is an arctic hard top which is very rare. Everything works on this Jeep so it would make a great off-roader, restoration project, or even a good daily driver.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
There’s still a few things that need fixing. The pics are too blurry to assess condition.
“This A really nice 1949 Willys CJ-3A Jeep. I have done a lolt of work on this ol girl but she needs a little more. Nothing major and easy fixes. It needs the orig. gas tank, a tie rod end,and seat cushions. I have put a new master cylinder, points and cond. and changed all of the fluids. In additions I have painted it and had the inside spryed with bedliner material. I would love cash but would be interested in trading for old cars , trucks, or something fun. So give me a shout and let me know what you got.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2250
(09/30/2010) This has seen some changes.
“i have a 1960 willys jeep need batterys great in the mud has 35 inch tires with a v6 engine needs to go will trade for a suv to pull camper”
No pics provided. Sure sounds like a good price for a no rust CJ-3B.
“327 motor(v8); corvette clutch; chevy transmission; very fast lots of power for qualified buyers only; blue; no rust; hard top and doors; please call 928-444-7447 for more info”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000.
Someone chopped the sides of that hood.
“1958 Jeep CJ3B Frame off rebuild 5 years ago. 6,000 miles since rebuild 302 Ford V8, 3 speed automatic, BestTop soft top, roll cage, Mile Marker Hydraulic winch, rear seat/storage box, Detroit Locker in rear, 31″ oversize tires. Body in good shape, no dents or dings. Home garage paint job with a couple of chips.
Runs perfectly, loads of power. This is a narrow, short wheelbase vehicle with a high center of gravity so it must be driven carefully at highway speeds, but it will run down the freeway at 70MPH with ease. Vehicle needs nothing, but has lots of possibilities for cutomization/modification.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $400
(06/14/210) This has been sliced in half to allow for lengthening. However, it might not be too difficult to slide back together and repair it.
“I have a RARE high hood 1954 Willys CJ3B Jeep body for sale. The body has been cut and stretched to be mounted on a longer chasis. (rat rod or 4×4). The body has not been joined together so that it can be fitted to a frame of any wheelbase. Very solid body all around with very few rust spots. Only serious buyers please”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2750
(07/15/2010) It sounds like a simple rewire of the alternator and 10 minutes of bleed of the brakes ought to result in a pretty nice jeep.
“This jeep has lots going for it, but still needs finishing off. Everthing listed is either new or rebuilt with less than 5 miles on it. Motor F134, transmission, transfer case, radiator, gas tank, exhaust, brakes, steering parts, drive shafts, shocks, wiper motors, tires, wiring harness, bearings, switches, lights, cables and so on. Posted at Willys Works. It is not titled, serial number on frame and data plate match. Comes with ratty old Whitco top. Brakes need bleeding & adjusting, adjust steering & figure out why a new battery will not hold a charge (has alternator). Bring cash. Jeff @ 520 780 2576. az1881@yahoo.com.”
