Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (03/06/2021) This 3B looks solid. It has some unmarked Watson style Hubs (possibly bought through Sears).
“53B Willys CJ mechanically and cosmetically restored, original engine and drive train with 12volt system, 20 year service record, stored in temperature and humidity controlled garage. Jeep is in showroom condition. Runs great and will pass inspection. Comes with spare tire and tow bar.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500.
Daryl has this 3B with the windshield for an early top (which I believe was produced by Worman).

Definitely a later model, but it lacks the fresh intake hole on the cowl.

Has a few updates, but looks mostly stock. There may be some rust on the driver’s side near the step.

Looks like a nice build. I’m wondering if the top was designed for a CJ-5 originally? I haven’t seen a top adapter in the front quite like this one.

“Selling my “mismatch” jeep. It’s a fiberglass cj3b tub sitting on a cj3a frame. The frame is real nice condition and the tub is rust free! Both fenders are good condition. Hood/grill not perfect but definitely usable. No engine/trans. Asking $1200 or best offer.
This appears to be a 1946 chassis with a CJ-3B replacement body. I’m not sure why the odd grille was made/used.

“1946 Jeep Willy CJ. The frame is original, engine has been replaced with an early 50’s flathead Ford V-8. Takes leaded fuel. 3-speed manual transmission. Has an after market heater. Odometer has been replaced; new odometer reads 489 miles. Prior mileage unknown. It runs and is in good condition.”
