“For sale 13000 obo North Norwich New York 13814”
The hood lacks the WILLYS stamp, but the body is not post 1962, so this might be a mix of parts. Thanks to John for sharing it.

“1953 Willys, CJ 3B, it has a 225 odd fire V6 with 100 miles on it had a SM 465 transmission, warn overdrive mated to a Dana 18 transfer case. GM power steering this jeep is built right.”
John shared this 3B. Some vintage lettering is still visible. It’s also got a GOV date plate.

“Original Military contract CJ-3B for parts or restoration. Engine runs strong. Tranny and transfer both good. Front dash and fenders good to restore. Grill is nice also. Rest of body shot. Axles are good. Good candidate for a drop on repro body.
Original Military data tags are still there.
As seen in pics the hood denotes it was used by the town of Ellenburg NY at some point. Likely for plowing. I picked this jeep up along with a few others from an estate in Shelton CT. My focus is on WW2 jeeps and not later models. I will also be listed a 56 CJ5 separately.
Asking price on this 3b reflects the known good F Head engine, tranny, axles, etc. Data tags are pretty cool. Would make a great Vietnam War era build.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1200.
(04/27/2024) There might be value here.

“Clear title. I have the hood, fenders and tailgate. The hood is the only part not pictured that is rust free. The engine in it is locked. I do have a second F-head engine that will be included that had been removed from a running 1960 model (I believe), extra front axle, and lots of extra odds and ends”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $5200
(04/15/2024) The seller had been selling two jeeps, not it’s only one.

“Note: This Jeep does not have a title. It will be sold with a bill of sale only based on engine number – MD 65930. Don’t read any further if you can’t deal with buying it on a bill of sale only. Getting a title is possible through a title company or through the DMV in your state once you purchase it depending on the laws in your state.
Offered for sale is a one-of-a-kind clone of the infamous Willys 1950 X-98 prototype. This type jeep was never mass produced as it was a transitional jeep Willys proposed in1950 with new hood lines to accommodate the overhead valve F-Head engine. Only a handful of originals were built with no known survivors. This project was completed in 2023 and was recently featured in the Fall 2023 edition of “The Dispatcher” Magazine. I built this jeep based on the work of Bob Westerman who also recreated this missing link in early jeep evolution – our two are the only two working models known to exist today. For more info. TJ spotted this 3B. It looks like it has potential.
