Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Up forsale is a Cj3a flat fender. This is a very early Cj3a as it has the flathead under the hood and all the early parts. Very restorable or get it going as is and have a nice woods Jeep.”
UPDATE **SOLD** Was $2800.
Has some body rust; seems to me this could have been a Surrey. It’s missing the top portion of the dry gauze air filter.
“Real Pink Surrey Edition DJ3A. 2 wheel drive. L134, column shift. Clean title. Will need some TLC. Body has some rust, needs carb rebuilt, and factory tank repaired and put back in(temporary fuel tank in back right now). Brakes work and steers great. Has factory bumpers, hub caps, and some original pink fabric on seats. Was driving around a few months ago. Motor has some smoke. Currently not running. Hard top also available. Bring a trailer. Located in Queen Creek, Az. Can help with transport and possible delivery within reason. Don’t have to sell, just making room for current projects.”

(06/08/2021) This could be a DJ-3A body that’s been modified, but it’s hard to tell for sure. This jeep has a Bobcat hood, but it lacks a front driveline.

UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $2500.
(11/25/2019) This looks to be a late model 1956 DJ-3A convertible (#11432). Body might be in decent shape. Windshield probably toast. In this case rare doesn’t equal valuable.

(05/03/2021) This DJ-3A has been modified with 4WD with added seating over the rear wheel wells. Given the handles on the windshield and the footman loop on the fender, this may have been a Surrey/Gala.

“Collectible 63 Jeep Willy’s, Run and drives great. New brakes wheel cylinders, fuel pump, tires and more. Seats have been recovered and seat frames are newly epoxy coated. All interior also have been redone with fresh epoxy coating and some replacement metal has been done. Frame is very solid and has been under coated and painted, rims have been epoxy coated also. Body is not rush free but trouble areas have been addressed, parts are easily available if some wants to go all out. Seen them restored and going from 20 to 30k, Has a flat head 4 cly. Runs cherry Manuel locking hubs”
