The body has a solid rear like an MB/GPW, but also has the proper hole for a CJ-2A ignition switch. Better pics would help in identifying exactly what is here.

UPDATE: This was for sale a few weeks ago. It’s back of for sale.
Tom shared this one. It runs and has a slat grille in the back. The body’s indent area and cargo areas have been patched.

“1942 Willys MB slat grill. Vin 121995 with title. Running/driving. Brakes inop. Matching engine block and very early head. Not sure if the head is original. Missing frame tag but assuming it’s original too. Definitely worth a restore just not in the cards for me right now. Most recently it was owned by a farmer in KY for 40 years. Script panel missing as PO welded metal in the rear tub portion. Also some tomfoolery with springs on the shocks for added suspension. Closest offer to 7500 gets to take it home.”
Unclear how much value is here. This has an M-38 or repro grille.

Listed as a 1949 CJ-2A Swiss Army Jeep and claimed to be “an original Swiss Army Willys Jeep”, this looks to me to be a refurbed CJ-3A with a reproduction MB body and, possibly, an MB engine. So, how ‘original’ it is isn’t clear.
It is true the Swiss Army used a wide range of jeeps, including MBs, CJ-2As, CJ-3As, M-38A1s, CJ-3Bs, CJ-5s, and Wagons (https://cj3b.info/Military/SwissArmy.html).

“rough mb body on cj2a frame. (Does have hood) Front axle is gutted No paperwork”
This jeep has a few interesting mods. For example, a small modded-item holds the radiator in place using the holes from the grille’s footman loop. Or, I can’t remember seeing a power brake setup with a clutch master cylinder mounted to the unit like this one (is that custom, aftermarket, or out of something?). “Obtained from a substantial collector out of the Fresno, CA area back in 2017. Odometer is a custom VDO and reads 05588, representing the miles placed on her since the complete reconstruction. Our current Owner has enjoyed the streets of Plumas Lake, CA and while not a big ‘wheeler’, has enjoyed the top-down scene offered by California’s fine weather. She has a clear and clean CA title in our Owner’s name.
New steel tub creates a CJ2 style Jeep atop a 1942 frame. Complete frame off was performed during it’s restoration and modification. Chrome accessories detail the body with plated hinges, latches, light rings and custom fit bumpers. Frame is reported as fully powder-coated. Soft-top canvas covers the interior and is reported to be in good shape, just not a perfectly tight fit. We finish with bead-lock styled one-piece aluminum rims and Wild Country off-road radials. And don’t forget that clean fit Warn winch riding up front. Continue reading
