It’s a 2WD project with a solid looking body. This looks like a good restoration candidate.

“’59 Willys Wagoneer. Complete engine, transmission, transfer-case, front & rear end, and suspension from 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee (ZJ) original owner. Welding and set-up done by Brandon Johnson of BC Customs/SXOR Mobility Vehicles in 2005.
Coil suspension, sway bars, steering, is Grand Cherokee and was done right. Boxed frame. New Edelbrock manifold, Holly carb. New drive lines. Motor (318 ci (5.2L) runs. No brakes, no cooling, some surface rust, and floor rust. All fixable. Great project for cool 4×4.
The car has set in a garage for the past 15 years with minimal work. Over $10K invested. I will consider any reasonable offer.”
Includes a parts rig.

“1961 Willy’s Wagon PLUS 1958 complete additional vehicle for parts or separate restoration.
The 1961 looks great, runs and drives great. 283 V-8. Super clean. We just invested thousands in this classic including brand new: axles, inner and outer axle seals, all bearings, brakes, drums, hubs, brake lines, 4wd hub rebuild, exhaust, shocks and a recent clutch. You can drive it now! Looks really great.
The 1958 is all there, restoration was started years ago, but it needs work. Includes another 283 V-8, great tires, transmission and transfer case plus tones of extra parts.”
UPDATE: The complete set of plans for the Wander Wagon is shown below. Previously, I’d only had the first part of the build scanned.
In 1948 Popular Homecraft Magazine did a two article series on the construction of a home built Jeep Station Wagon. The name for the custom wagon was the Wander Wagon Junior. The project was shared with readers over two issues, the 1948 Jan-Feb issue and the 1948 Mar-Apr issue. I was finally able to locate a copy of the Mar-Apr issue, so now the full build is shown below.
PART I: January-February 1948 issue:
Glenn shared this wagon.

“2wd Station Wagon, F134 engine, not running, complete with extra excellent hood and fenders. Paperwork included.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $14,000.
Nice looking wagon.
“Listing for a friend. You are looking at a very nice and well detailed 1956 Willys Station Wagon. It is the 4 wheel drive with the Continental 226 engine. It has had a very nice restoration including brand new interior with great attention to detail. Powdercoated seat frames, new upholstery, headliner, floor, etc. All new chrome along with updated stereo as well. New chrome grill. Also has brand new tires including the spare. Paint shows very nice, although has minor rust showing above drivers rear wheel well and bottom right of rear hatch. It also has new wiring and generator under the hood. Attention to detail on this truck is apparent throughout.
The bad part and reason for the very low price, is while enjoying all this fresh work, the engine let go with one of it’s rod bearings and will need a rebuild. It is all complete and has not been pulled out, my friend is just done with it and ready to just move on from it now. No expense has been spared and you will not be dissapointed. Asking 14,000”
