Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Up for sale is my 1948, CJ2L (cj2a just longer). This was in the same family since the 50s, was on a private ranch. It has 14 inch wheels, and a stretch from the dealership. I purchased this as a back up plan for a couple trips this coming year incase my other jeep didnt get finished. It looks like I’ll finish my other Willys in time so it’s up for sale. I have a clean and clear title, it runs and drives great has a brand new Joe Jennings rebuilt carb on it, needs some brake work (personally I would do the disk brake conversion- about $450)”
