1946 CJ-2A Sahaurita, Az $2700

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

It’s hard to tell much from the pic.

“1946 Willys CJ-2A. Original drivetrain with flathead four cylinder engine. Clear AZ title, not registered. Body has some rust but it has mostly been repaired (needs paint).
Comes with towbar, removeable shade (golf cart top that clamps to the roll bar), and service manual.
Many upgraded and/or new parts within last several years (the Jeep has rarely been used during this time):

– Transmission (three speed) and transfer case rebuilt
– Steering box rebuilt with all new parts, one-piece tie rod conversion, new steering wheel
– Brand new gear-reduction starter
– 12V electrical system with GM alternator, headlights work
– Flush-mount taillights installed but not hooked up
– Carburetor rebuilt, adjustable fuel pressure regulator
– 7.00-15 tires (much easier to find then original 6.00-16)
– Rebuilt master cylinder, and new wheel cylinders
– Re-lined transmission parking brake and new cable (comes with it but not installed yet)

I have owned it for eleven years and used it for hunting and four-wheeling. It could be made street-legal fairly easily, but with 60 hp, 9″ brakes and 5.38 gears it is much better suited for off-road use.
I am selling it because I no longer use it and have too many vehicles. I will consider offers, and will also consider a trade for a big quad or a smaller RV travel trailer (no cars or trucks, etc). Please respond via craigslist or call Al at 490-1963. I can send several other pictures upon request.”

1946 CJ-2A Canton, Ga **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $800.

“1946 Willys CJ2A – I never have had the time or money to restore this Jeep. This Jeep has an International 4 cylinder engine in it (not original). I had the engine running in 2000, but blew a gasket or something and haven’t done anything to it since then. If you are interested in a restoration project or building a great offroad machine, this would be great for either. Body has minor surface rust and some bad bondo from previous owner. Additionally, new floor pans were installed at some point. Come and take a look. I will try to put up pictures at some point – it currently is serving as a shelf in my garage so not very photo worthy!”

3 Flat Fender Projects Wenatchee, Wa

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A, CJ-3A This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

There’s a variety of parts and projects here with prices that vary.

“1st jeep has the most potential and while the picture does not show it, it has a grille and other parts that can be put together to make a good one. It has rear diamond plate for the corners and diamond plate for the sides. It does have a windshield that needs put together. No seats or titles on any of them. It has saginaw front end which is optional I will keep it if you want to dicker. If you plan to install a bigger engine I will keep the engine and transmission and transfer case too. Engine is a L head than turns over by hand but someone got the carb and starter. It has a roll bar of sorts. Price depends on if you want the saginaw and engine. $300 with out all that. $650 with all that.

2nd jeep is a basket case and frames front has cracked totally off. But it has a round cross bar that can be used on the first jeep that some idiot cut off the original and put L iron to fit the saginaw on it. Or you can weld it back together and start a rebuild of a second jeep. it has axles but no power plant or transmission or transfer case. $150 for it.

The third is just a body and hood. It was a rare long body that someone cut down to a CJ3A size. Welds need to be finished on that part. Body could be used on one of the other two if you wanted. Might have another windshield in need of repair for it too. $200 for it.

As I said no titles but they can be gotten. I believe data tags are on one at least. I have extrea transfer cases that may need rebuild for $100. And some other extra parts for those that buy all three of them. Including axles. Have other small parts that I will make deal on if you buy all. I just need parts to finish my 2A. Might consider trading for things I need for the 2A like seats or guns or other old interesting item. Especially jeep PTO’s for the front and back or an overdrive. Or Jeepster parts from 48 and 49. I am keeping the roll cage for the 3A for now. But with the right offer will sell it too. It is one that is done well with sides that fit the contour of the CJ2 and 3A frame. $450. These are projects as you can see. And as I said I have hundreds of various small parts too for sale. And for the right trade or take all I will think about a better deal. Also have a F head that needs gone through. It used to turn over by hand but now doesn’t. has a regular oil filter system on it for spinning oil filters and upgraded carb. Long story. $250. Had it in a flat fender and it ran then.

It’s an unusual color scheme.  It looks in solid shape and will likely make a great restoration.

Builds: Gary and his Friend Lawrence

• CATEGORIES: Builds, CJ-2A, Unusual This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Gary has become a regular reader.  His green CJ-5 is undergoing a makeover, with a body purchased off craigslist coupled with a rebuilt motor (134 F is in the machine shop), including a new engine kit and re-ground crank.  You can see his starting jeep in the pic below. Gary is also working on a spare tire carrier for the back of his CJ-5 which he plans to share when it is finished.  Thank for sharing!

Gary also provided pics of his friend Lawrence’s jeeps.

gary_peacock_1961_cj5

The first of Lawrence’s jeeps is a CJ-2A which he cut and converted to a two wheel drive truck. Lawrence is pictured here.

The next is a cj3B with a 2.8 chevrolet engine and a T14 transmission. (He calls it a John Deere Jeep).

Last is a M38 A1, with a few upgrades.
