“1949 Willys Jeep: I’ve been working on this for about a year. Recently found out that engine needs to be rebuilt or need to swap in a newer/used engine. I took the body off, scraped, sanding, acid etched primed, then sprayed with a fine finish tip and put on a raptor liner coating. Black raptor liner to the underside and the inside of the tub. Sandblasted the rims, grill, bumpers, light housings and powder coated with matte black finishes. New gauges, new steering wheel, new reproduction seats with new vinyl. New tires. New. shocks. New muffler, exhaust system. It’s been fun but I’m not wanting to dump another $2,000-$3,000 for the engine upgrade.”

It doesn’t run.

“1947 Jeep Willy, runs great! It’s really fun to drive. Three speed, two range transmission, so it’s like a six speed. Has an early 1980’s GM 6-cylinder engine. Odometer reads 77k, uncertain if that’s true. Interior in great condition, bed coating on the floor. Lap belt seatbelts, and a small back seat. Exterior is excellent.”

Seller listed this as a 1945, but I don’t seen any evidence the sheep was produced in 1945 or 1946.

“Listing for my uncle since he doesn’t have Facebook. He has a 1946 jeep Willy’s cj2a (red) and a parts 1947 jeep Willy’s cj2a (Rust color) for sale as a package deal. Flat head strait 4 cylinder. Red one has a newer top and has been garage kept most of its life. Great project vehicles. Parts jeep has rotted tub but many good usable parts otherwise. Asking $7500.”
