“1948 willys cj2a, smitty built winch, daily driver, it has a f head 134 inline 4 cyl, toyo tires 31″ , has heat and works, all the lights work and directionals – Borge warner t90 3 speed – 4wd works good. Needs new windshield and has rip in rear window of soft top. Frame is very solid. Clean MA title”
It’s an early one: 12741.
“Very early 1946 CJ2A civilian jeep, the following replaced or overhauled. Steering box and column, seats, windshield assembly, wheel rims, gauges, fuel system, cooling system, charging system, 12 volt conversion, hydraulic brakes, floor mat. Built first week or two of 1946, converted to floor shift, still has column shift transmission and original body. ”
Something a little different.
“1948 willys stock drivetrain with a 1959 Anglia escort body. Car sat for a very long time. Story is two long for this listing but could tell it if need be. It needs lots of tlc. It runs and drives and has great potential for someone with time money and a place to work on it as it is still a project. put in plugs, pts, cap, rotor, new master cylinder, some tires and wheels. Wheels are original 16″ jeep wheels. Brakes need adj, some wiring. Body is good. Wheel wells flaired but no rust after 25 years. Would consider trade for MG. I need more of a practical driver as I have no extra cash to speed up the project. Please text or call Jeff ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $9500.
Looks good. I can’t tell what type of hubs the has.
“If your looking for a classic Jeep and your looking for something fun to do this new year 2017, consider checking out this one. It runs and drives better than any other early CJ I have come across.
I’m a “Flat Fender” enthusiast and have owned many of these so I can tell you with certainty, that this is the one you want for all the important reasons.
Runs like a sewing machine and has good compression.
Very well maintained. If something broke it was fixed properly and in keeping with originality.
Fresh paint and tires and the steering, brakes and running gear are in excellent driving condition.
If you don’t find what your looking for here then let me help you find the right one at the fair price. It’s my passion and hobby!
Don’t be afraid to ask.”
It’s a project.
“1946 CJ2A for sale.
Bought it several years ago and completely dismantled it with the intention of restoring it but never got around to it. Sadly, I have come to the realization that I probably will never complete the project so, I’m selling it. As shown in the pictures, most major components are included. Frame, tub, fenders, grill, windshield frame and hood are in very good condition. Includes all major components with the exception of the following: Driver and passenger seats were ugly retrofits so they were discarded. Steering wheel and gauges were badly cracked/weathered so they were discarded. Wheels were not CJ2A specific so they were discarded.
I do not know the condition of the engine block and I do not believe it is the original block, however, it is a “Go Devil” L Head engine.
Asking $2,500.”
Has large front bumper. Hood is a replacement. Has other updates.
“Stock flat head 4 cylinder older restoration
Will need the brakes worked on and a motor tune up. The jeep does run and is in very original condition”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,500.
Interesting build.
“Hello this Willys came out of a private collection in Palm Springs. It has been restored with many up grades Vortex V6, speed Trans. Overdrive, power steering and larger brake drums. From the pictures you came see the condition of it. Has all new brake lines, fuel tank, gages rewired, turn signals with E. Flasher, it has plug for towing. The top does fold down and has a cover for top. The seats backs have been moved back about 4″ which makes it easy to get in and out. The paint work is sharp. There has been alot of detail done. The steering components look new. It does have a 2” receiver on front and rear bumpers nicely done. There is two lugs on front bumper for a tow bar tobe mounted but. I have no tow bar for Jeep. This is not a project, it runs and drives. Stops straight and you don’t have to stand on peddle. It does have locking hubs and 2 speed transfer case. Thank you
Additional info: BODY OF RESTORATION. POWERED BY CHEVORLET 4.3L VORTEX V6 DYNO AT 261HP. 4 SPEED SIGINAW TRANSMISSION WITH DANA T18 TRANSFER CASE WITH WARN OVERDRIVE.
I PURCHASED AS IT IS… I DID NOT DO ANY OF THE WORK.
UPDATE: Was on eBay
Lots of custom work on this rig. A couple gauges don’t work.

“Full custom, ground up build with new store bought high-end parts! It is registered and in my name as a 47 Jeep even though the whole thing was built new just a few years ago. There has been absolutely no expensed spared in this Jeep. Body is a very well built and thick fiberglass body, never to worry about rust issues again, ever and it has no cracks anywhere, it is so thick that even the hood close with a thump! The frame is a late model Jeep frame, boxed and reinforced throughout.
Engine is a 350 Chevrolet 4 bolt main, steel crank, forged pistons, decked, lined bored and balanced. Cylinder heads have been completely gone through including larger valves, springs, retainers, studs and roller rockers. Quiet Gear drive, with a mild street cam for long hours of idling. Aluminum radiator with temp controlled electric fan, never gets hot even after running all day. Electronic ignition, hooker headers, chrome or aluminum everything possible on the engine. Transmission is a professionally built power-glide automatic with a manual shift valve body, aftermarket transmission cooler and heavy duty torque convertor, this transmission is bullet proof. Drive shafts are new with heavy duty u-joints and retainers.
Front and Rear differentials have I believe 4:11 gears, been too long and cannot remember, disk brakes in front with Warn hubs and large drums in the rear. Wilwood master cylinders with steel braid throughout. The chassis has an aftermarket front sway bar that is easily disconnected for trail riding and full oscillation. Power steering with remote reservoir make the huge Mickey Thompsons turn easily. The suspension springs are, medium duty in the front and I have two sets for the rear, both included. At the moment I have extra firm springs in the rear for dune driving, in an hour they can be replaced with the extra soft springs for trail riding. Dual shocks (Chrome) in the rear and single (Chrome) in the front. Steering linkage (Chrome) is very tight with absolutely no play at all, this Jeep drives very well and tight going down the road.
