Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Early 1946 flat fender. Runs stops, lights and gages work. Fiberglass body/ metal mix.
New seals,bearings and most front end rebuilt. Battery and exhaust new. Brakes completely new. 12 volt. Has a full top. Has lock our warn hubs and a tow bar”

“Awesome 1946 Willys CJ2A with a Chevy 350 hooked to a manual 3 speed with working 4 wheel drive. long tube headers, new gas tank. No title. Very powerful but not really streetable with the 3 speed. Looking to trade for a street able classic truck or maybe a Harley or a running rat rod”

“This beautiful 1946 CJ2A Willys Jeep has been completely restored to a “daily driver” level. These vehicles are becoming very rare as most have either been destroyed or heavily modified. Few are available with the stock engine, power train and body.
1946 was the very first year a civilian “Jeep” was produced – with most parts converted directly from WWII production lines. At 70 years old, it remains a very functional and practical historical vehicle. Gearing is very low in these vehicles – they will go almost anywhere with both high and low range 4 wheel drive. The front hubs are locking/unlocking. This Willys makes an excellent “around town” driver, cruise-in and parade car, as well as a great hunting and exploring vehicle. An overdrive can easily be installed if desired (it does not currently have one). This is NOT a freeway cruising vehicle – it is a 40-45 mph driver!
