Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a great project for a Jeep person! Two Jeeps for the price of one. First is a military MB Jeep. The body is in good shape, solid, has recored radiator, new front bumper, original rims have been blasted and ready for paint in the back. Some other parts in boxes go along with also. No engine, transmission or transfer case. This one is easily restoreable and would be a great parade vehicle or military collectible. The second Jeep is a civilian CJ2A which is very similar to the first one, it has the drivetrain still in it. Engine is stuck but could probably be freed up. Body on this one is not as bad as some , between the two you can make one runner! Neither one currently has a title, but can be titled with little effort. Asking $2200 or best offer for both, need to go before winter so come look and make an offer!”

It’s a project.
“I have a project Willys Jeep, 1946, that needs a total restore. I have started it but have too many things going on to finish it. I have purchased the kit to make it a 12 volt system, including the alternator and starter has been rebuilt to 12V and the points and plugs and rotor and cap. I have kicked the starter over and it turns over fine. Have not gotten it started yet. I took the old tires off and getting ready to blast the wheels. new 12V battery. New ignition switch. I also purchased a new clutch. If interested call or TXT to see it.”

It’s got a fiberglass body. Looks like an ex-racer given the roll cage.

(10/17/2015) Seller lists this as #3733, but I see nothing to indicate it is that early of a CJ-2A.
“Hi I have a 1946 Willys cj2a all original parts with the flat head 4 in it and the twin stick t-case it runs and roles tires hold air and steers fine it hadn’t run since the summer of 1980 I got it running and cleaned it all out has some rust but is all fairly easy to fix front lock outs still work and gas tank is not rusty inside or out I am open to partial trade with cash thank you I’ll post better pictures soon”

“Got a 1948 willys jeep cj2a with a 231 buick v6.
Tub and all metal is sandblasted bare metal and body is really straight but front of frame (first 16″) needs some work (normal)
No seats I sold them so I could put buckets in (but have not found any yet)
Brand new fuel tank.
Selectro warn style hubs
New header flange plates ready to build your own headers but I still have the willys headers that were on it when I got it and exhausts.
Has a warn overdrive as well.
Xtra driveshafts.
Have all the steel and wiring needed to finish.
Power steering, tilt wheel,
brand new powder coated brake drums, headlight buckets and parts galore.
Lots of new parts, hood latches.
New leaf springs and shackles,brake lines and brake parts. and lots more.
Has 2 tops full rag and bikini.
This is gonna be fun when done and a fun ride.
I have a set of 35″ x 12.5 x 15 mudder wildcat tires just need wheels
Have no time to finish this baby. Last pictures are the way I got it before I stripped it down. Have done a bunch too it………….
