This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (10/26/2017) This has an updated engine. It has a couple vintage items: A Porter & Reed hardtop and what looks to be a set of Free-Look hubs.

It’s a project.
“1949 Willy’s with ’52 motor. Good body, very little rust. Drive train is good also. Motor needed rebuilt when my dad bought 20 yrs ago, but we could never find all the parts. You can now get a complete rebuild kit on line for about $800. I just don’t have the time to fool with it. No top, seats need reworked. This is a project Jeep, but a great one.”

This CJ-3A has a CJ-7 hardtop reshaped to fit a CJ-3A. It looks well done. The doors are well don’t, too. Thanks to Gary for spotting it.
