Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This is a nice, solid looking CJ-3B.
“This is a 1958 Jeep Willys High Hood, it’s my grandpa’s jeep, and it is in very good condition. Starts right up, and the engine runs good. Tires are in great condition, tred is all there. The interior isnt very old, maybe 6 years or so. This jeep has been kept in storage the whole time he’s had it. Unless you count the occasional 4 mile trip to another garage. Please call my grandpa for questions, he will know more about it.”

“1962 CJ3B. Original F Head Engine, 3spd Transmission, and Twin Stick Transfer Case. Tub is in good shape no holes in floorboards. Has some surface rust. $1700.
Glass fuel filter/mechanical fuel pump. electric fuel pump was added by previous owner. Has original gauges and fire wall data plate, original low back seats. Body is in average condition. minor rust, nothing that cant be fixed. Tub is solid. No Bondo. Original Orange paint faded and flaking in spots. Overall a good High Hood worthy of being restored. I have two other Jeep projects so this one has to go. Title is clear.”

It was stretched fairly nicely in the back compared with the patch between the hood and grille in the front.

There have been a few mods, including some usual changes involving the tail lights. It appears the tailgate has been filled in?
“1953 Willys CJ3B Jeep.V6 with manual trans. Is in great shape for a 53. Has new clutch, brake and clutch master cylinder. Full 6 pt roll cage. Race seats with 5 points. Needs some TLC but NADA low retail is $3,350. $3000 obo

“1954 Willys CJ3B Jeep with hardtop and plow. 54K, 4CYL, 4X4. Needs work due to rust/rot. Engine was running fine but has an electrical issue now and does not start. Needs brake work. All pieces there and would make a great restoration project. More pics available upon request. $1200.00 obo”

Rebuilt F-134, bored 0.30 over, after market carb one barrel, T-90, 3 speed trany, T-18 transfer case, Lock-Right lockers front and rear, Spencer 25or27 front &Dana 44 rear diffs w/10 spline (I think), 5.38 gears (I think), Warn overdrive, Cutlas hub lock, BF mud terrain T/A 30/9.50/R15 w/lots of tread, upholstery is rough, has folding rear seat, H-4 headlamps, cab heater, and 2nd battery isolation relay, 120 volt block water heater, The body has rust in the normal places a 53 year old body would have.”

“Up for sale is an Awesome Jeep CJ3B. Only 37k miles. Just changed diff gear oil. I really do not want to sell, but i have 2 other Jeeps and not enough storage space. I started to restore her about 1 year ago, but I’m in the process of moving, and i just don’t have the room anymore. The motor has been removed for better access. She ran like a champ when i last drove her! I have all parts labeled, and neatly set asidethat were removed (minor). Motor, tranny, and transfer case are all together. Minimal rust on floor panel, has all gauges (fuel gauge is probably going to need replacement), 31″ tires, roll cage, and much much more! Have title in hand for new owner. The pictures were taken a week or so ago. Great project vehicle, or just put the motor back in and have some good ol fun! There are plenty of extra parts if needed. This jeep is an antique and a collectors item, and one of the first Civilian Jeeps ever made. I could go on and on about this Jeep, but don’t have time right now. “This is a ONE OWNER VERY SHARP jEEP it has only been in this country for about 1 month and I have the receipts for the shipping from Puerto Rico to here. The Owner has done several New up grades such as a New top and New Doors. It runs and drives excellent and The tires are New. This is a very cool vehicle in exceptional condition. “Up for grabs is this 1959 Jeep CJ3B. I bought it last year with plans to restore it but realised i don’t have the knowledge, time or $$!
