These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1953 cj3b. First year for the high hood Jeeps. This is a project. Hood has some dents, and floor pans need patched. Tub has minimal rust, but is in very nice condition for age. You can still see the original green paint under the red. Nice pair of original seat frames. I have two f-head engines for it. The original engine is stuck, and the second engine turns over. Transmission is decent, but should be gone through. Frame is in perfect condition. I do not have a windshield frame, or tailgate for it. Clean title. Would be perfect candidate for restoration. $1500”
The ad has a ‘ran-when-parked’ comment, which suggests it doesn’t run?

(02/20/2019) Note that the passenger side has a skin over much of it (see third pic). Includes an extra body.

“Owned by 2 families for the last 51 years! 4 cylinder engine, 3 speed manual transmission with 4 wheel drive high and low. Has top, sides that roll down and doors plus back seat. Also included is second engine. It has sat in garage last 2 years and not driven. Will need battery, carburator and gas tank cleaned.”

Has some mods (note the windshield) and has had some body work (note height of gas inlet). Given the price, it may be worth a look.
“1953 Willys Jeep CJ3B ▪️Runs and drives. ▪️Factory Hurricane F-head 134, T-90 3 speed manual transmission with a Dana 18 transfer case. ▪️4×4 works as well, with new mile marker locking hubs. Factory Dana 44 rear and Dana 27 front. ▪️newer wheels and tires. 15″ steel wheels with Goodyear 235/75R15 Wrangler Radials. Will include a set of 5 old school steelies painted green. ▪️Updated H4 halogen headlights, newish carb(have the old factory as well) electric fuel pump, plugs wires and fluids changed less than a year ago. ▪️Best part it’s titled free and clear in Utah and currently registered.”

It’s got some update. No reserve auction. Price was $2650 as of this posting. Curiously, it doesn’t have the channel for the top across the windshield. Either it was removed or this is a DJ-3A convertible windshield.
“1953 Willys CJ3-B in storage for 2 years. 3 speed manuel transmition with warn overdrive. Under 500 miles on restoration. Metal body no known rust. Pulled out today engine turns over but stalls out. Assuming carb needs cleaned from sitting. Overall good shape.”
