1963 Jeep CJ5 $3,900 Guilderland Center, NY

Listed as a 63 CJ5, looks like a neat CJ. I kind of thought with that battery box it would be a little earlier, a picture of the Data plate in the engine compartment would help narrow it down.

It does not look like an M38-A1 for a number of things that I have read, like the gauges and the tail gate, Jeep on the side, missing some plugs provisions and the sort.

I don’t like to get stick on the year, but if anyone has a good reference guide for the smalls happy to do some research. I just feel this could have the possibility of being a little earlier then ’63.

As far as no title, NY does not have “Titles” for older vehicles, they do have transferrable registrations a formal NY State Bill of Sale documents, I was able to purchase my 1963 Wagon from NY with the transferrable Registration, for NJ it only required that the seller and buyer signed a notarized document, that was a NJ requirement, and there was a straight forward process. No issues on my end getting a clean NJ title for my ’63 that had no formal NY Title, but had that registration on the back it has a spot for transfer. I was done in about an hour at DMV in NJ. In NY I feel its also very easy if there is a registration of sorts at some point to go back too.

1957 CJ5 Jeep Willys. Have had this Jeep for about 15 years, the tub was cut off as it was damaged, other body parts come with it. Engine, trans, transfer case mounted within the frame. Frame is very solid. All parts included, including a new wiring harness, not installed. This Jeep started and drove around my property a few years ago. Moving soon, and will not have garage space. My guess is a 1959 CJ5? I’m basing my guess on the heater controls and the Speedo.

But I really don’t know and its not listed.

Pretty cool Jeep for sure, cab, lights, looks like the windshield folds down. Plow looks awesome.

1958 CJ-5 Willys Jeep with Title $5000 Cypress, TX

Rebuilt in 2004. Rebuild included Pertronix Electronic Ignition, new brakes, new canvas top, new tires, and new exhaust system. Used as a hunting vehicle until 2017. In storage from 2017 to present. V-6 engine. Needs good clean up. Starts and runs. Body in good condition. This jeep does have an exhaust leak so it is loud. 2025 Repairs include New Main Fuel Tank, New Electric Fuel Pump, New Mechanical Fuel Pump, New Battery, and Replacement Starter.

1958 CJ-5 Willys Jeep No Title $3500 Cypress, TX

Here is Randy’s second Jeep, no title with this one, but it looks like a neat rig for sure.

Information from seller:

Used solely as a hunting vehicle for many years. Set up for quail hunting. Body has been modified for hunting application. Steel aftermarket doors and top. Has Inline 4-cylinder motor. This jeep has a winch however it needs repair. Rebuild started in 2019 but not completed. New tires, new springs, and new shocks. Tires have less than 10 miles on them. Fuel Tank, Electric Fuel Pump, and Battery were replaced in 2025. Replacement brake parts system including drums, shoes, and wheel cylinders goes with this jeep. Parts still in the box. There is a brake fluid leak so the brakes do need to be replaced.
