Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The asking price is a bit high, but this jeep just oozed nostalgia for me. It reminds me a lot of my parents’ CJ-5.

“1960 Willy’s Jeep is mostly all Original, New Electric Fuel Pump, New OEM Muffler, New (4) Brake Cyl’s and Shoes, Recent Oil Change w / Synthetic Oil. Speedometer not working (mileage unknown). It has had a valve job in 1989. I installed two 3 Point Safety Belts, Turn Signal Switch, and Drivers side electric windshield wiper. The top is a makeshift top I constructed just to keep the rain and snow off but needs to be upgraded. I am asking 7200.00 OBO .
I purchased this Jeep last year and I am the second owner.
I am selling it because I am 74 yo and it is difficult for me to get in and out of it. Also I am a large man and I am not comfortable driving it.
I just returned from Moab Ut. and the Jeep is still on the trailer.”

“1957 Willys Jeep with a hard top. Straight 4 engine. Will run well but does not drive. Body is fairly rusty and interior in poor condition due to past owner’s improper storage. Needs brake work and rear driveline reconnected.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500. Meyer hardtop.
(01/28/2018) “CJ5 body. Doors and windows work. OHV 4cyl Engine runs fine and has great oil pressure. Fuel pump needs seal. Needs clutch and brakes done. Hard top needs some attention. All the drive shafts and levers for pto and differential are working. Front winch needs engagement lever. Starter works good. Coil and points good. Body and fenders not great. Frame is decent.
Have some spare transmissions and differentials.
Spare hard top for cj5 don’t know what year.
Needs some love. Not interested in parting it out. I know it has some rare items and they work. Enough to restore or use for parts. 1500$ firm.
Has some minor mods. Looks promising.

“Recently acquired but don’t have the time to mess with it. Last on the road in 1969. The previous owner had started restoration but did not finish it. I was told the motor has been rebuilt however I am unable to verify. It appears to be mostly complete but it’s best to come and look for yourself. Feel free to call if you have any questions, I don’t text. ”

Roll bar has been sold Also have alot of other CJ parts for sale complete rear pto , harrisson heater , hi lo pumps , engine blocks parts , rims, axles just check other listings”
