Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Selling an original 1966 Jeep Universal CJ5 that was recently imported from the States…it is in excellent original condition with the original drive train and the Hurricane 134 engine…body is original and in very clean solid condtion.,..all factory gauges and switches..Spartan turn signals….frame shows ID numbers at both sides at the horn…this Jeep was built in Toledo with the assembly at the Windsor plant…it has the two original Vin and build plates on the firewall showing the Windsor plant assembly..it was shipped to Bob Bass GMC-Jeep sales in Raliegh North Carolina in April 1966…..I have the 1000 miles inspection bill, bill of sale and the original State of North Carolina inspection papers dated April 14, 1966…also have the Jeep owners warranty papers that came with the Jeep at the dealer….the Jeep runs great..it has been restored and has a great suspension…drives down the road very straight with great steering..new carb, just tuned and lubed….brand new 16 inch period correct tires and wheels were installed in Feb of this year…I have the original Owners manual..sales brochure and title for the little Jeep.”

Doug spotted this nicely rebuilt jeep.
“1966 CJ5. Jeep Kaiser/ Willys frame off restoration great shape. I just don’t drive it. In 1966 they did all the best things to the Jeeps. Because the old flat head was so weak Jeep added the Buick Dauntless V6. Tons of power and able to handle any road. The tires have less than 100 miles on them. If your are into classic jeeps this is the one for you!”
This has a fiberglass body. It runs and drives, but doesn’t stop.
“1964 willys cj 5 fiberglass body and fenders jeep in good shape runs and drives needs lights wired up harness and lights all there just needs to be hooked up . it has a four cyl f head with a 3 sp tranny four wheel drive works great . brakes need a little tinkering i think the wheel cylinders are leaking on rear axle. this is a really cool rig and would make someone a great toy to play in the woods or putt putt to your local car show. give me a call or email Ben 1-802-325-2023 thanks for looking”
