These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (01/05/2021) Roger Martin shared this plow jeep. It’s got a CJ-5 hardtop and what looks to be a DJ windshield.
“Willys cj2a or 3a repowered with buick dauntless v6. Runs and drives. 4×4 works. Dualamatic locking hubs. Heated cab. Plow works. Be a good build project. Have extra parts available.”
UPDATE: The two post cards at the bottom of this post were on eBay several years ago. I recently came across some newspaper clippings that give background about the Winter Park Villager tram’s purpose. The service began November 28, 1966, but I could not find an end-date.

This Winter Park Villager shows a DJ-3A Surrey pulling a matching trailer in Winter Park, Florida. One of these postcards is currently on eBay.

There could be some value here. No pics provided. The “59 Willys CJ2” could very well be a DJ-3A.

The top bows are $700 a set. A price for the top clips were not included. Both the both bows and the clips are for the DJ-3A convertible model (solid back and CJ-3B-like windshield with twist-knobs across the top). The seller only has a few sets made. He notes that he isn’t making any money on them and has been more than willing to share information on the insights he gains trying to make his top.
The soft top is something custom the seller had made by an upholsterer. It took him some work to redesign and properly fit the top so that it would fold up and connect to the windshield properly, yet also fold down and attach to the body.

Joe in Mesa spotted this ad. The body looks to be from a DJ-3A convertible. I can’t tell what the chassis is, but odds are it’s a CJ-2A.

(02/02/2021) This DJ-3A is tagged a 1956, but the body is post 1959 given the passenger-side cold-air intake.

“1956 dj3a titled as a 47cj2a. I have the body tag for the dj3a. It has been converted to 4×4 , but was very well done. 134l runs and drives, but no brakes. new master cylinder but I think it needs wheel cylinders. 5.38 gears, new fluids all around. Very nice body, barely any rust except the floors which the PO had diamond plated. 21000 miles that seems to be legit. Price is 4000 obo, may be interested in trades.”
This jeep sold within an hour of being posted (at $2500) on Facebook. You’ll note it’s a DJ-3A body with footman loops across the back and on the fenders. The jeep has a column shifter. It’s also got pink under the hood. It appears it never had the oil bath filter; instead, it likely had the wire gauze filter. So, I suspect it was a DJ-3A Surrey.
UPDATE: This did not reach the reserve, so it did not sell. I don’t know what the seller plans to do next.
The current bid is $1600 with four days to go. The reserve has not been met.
“1961WILLY’S JEEP GALA, Treated to a cosmetic and mechanical redo! Built from 1959 to 1964, based on a flat fender DJ-3A the body style was used originally as postal jeeps until 1959. The surplus parts were used to create the Surrey Galas which came in three colors. This one is Pink, Tropical Mist with striped pink and glacier white interior and top, riding on wide whites with chrome wheel covers. It is exactly the same as the one Elvis had and is displayed to this day at his home ,Graceland in Memphis ! This unit does not have the fringe or the dual leather straps attaching to the windscreen, and is Fitted with a new steering wheel that matches the two new side rear view mirrors”

“Up for sale is what’s left of my Dad’s 1963 DJ3 delivery jeep after he left it sit outside :-((
What you see is what you get, NO title. Too bad, I learned how to drive in this jeep. L134 flathead engine, column shift, two-wheel drive. Rusty & rotted. Dont know if engine still turns. This originally had the enclosed rear; what the post office used years ago before they got what they are using today. I was going to part it out but if I can offload it whole it’s just less I have to do. AS-IS as pictured!!”
UPDATE: These pics are from a previous eBay ad. This mailer brochure rarely comes up for sale. It folds out to 8.5″x11″. There’s no form number printed.
