Brett found this nice looking rig.  Note the left-handed emergency brake. This could be either a fiberglass body or a DJ-3A body, though I’m gonna guess the latter.

If the VIN is original to the body, then this is a 1958 DJ-3A rather than a 1940s CJ-2A.  Not that it really matters, as there’s not much here (except for a good VIN plate).

‘Hello, I am selling a rusty 1940s vintage willys.. Either complete or just selling some parts.. Overall its pretty rusted/shot however It does have the orignal rear end as well as many other parts.. I also have 8 Orignal wheels that are also for sale or that will just go with the jeep as well as many other parts.”

“RUNNING, DRIVING JEEP, HAS ORIGINAL L-134 4 CYL FLATHEAD ENGINE, 3 SPEED ON COLUMN,NEW RADIATOR, MASTER CYL, BATTERY, LIKE NEW TIRES, TOW BAR. FACTORY DELIVERY WITH HARDTOP THAT CAN BE REMOVED. GREAT BODY WITH ONLY SURFACE RUST. NO HOLES IN BODY, VERY SOLID FLOOR PANS HAVE 2 SMALL RUST HOLES UNDER SEAT, OTHER THAN THAT VERY SOLID WITH ORIGINAL PAINT. HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO 12 VOLT. NOW THE PAINT IS FADED AND HAS SOME SURFACE RUST, WINDSHIELD IS CRACKED AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. IT HAS A BROKEN BRAKE LINE IN THE REAR SO I NO LONGER DRIVE IT. UPDATE: Bill correctly notes that this is the same DJ-3A as pictured a few months ago, except that it has been painted and the price raised $100.

No motor.  The body sure looks good.  I don’t know what it takes to get this back over the border.

UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $10,500

(09/03/2010) The large dashboard speedometer and the cutdown entrances for driver and passenger suggest to me this is a DJ-3A body. Also, the windshield looks like the front portion of a DJ Hardtop.  (see what it is supposed to look like on the CJ-3B).

Brett spotted this project.  I think at the very least the body is a DJ-3A.  However, it shouldn’t have a PTO or the CJ-2A windshield.  So, I’m gonna guess this is a combo vehicle of some type — probably a DJ-3A/CJ-2A.

“great shape willys flat fender $1300.00. needs some tlc. the axles were just totally gone through at six states. drivelines rebiult. basically i was going to do a ground up restoration but i have a baby on the way and this needs to go. so the frame, axles total under carrige is all done and undercoated. i just bolted the body back on without finishing it. so if your wanting a cool project that is started out right call. it does also have a pto winch. price these out and you are getting a hell of a deal. i have 800.00 just in the seat frames and having them upolstered. call me with any questions. thanks for the interest.”
