(02/22/2010) “New top, new tires, new upholstry and carpet. Runs great but needs either a new carburator or a better mechanic than I am. Good paint and chrome. Kids and grandkids are not partof the deal!! MUST SEE! ”
Here’s a great looking Jeepster.
“The car runs very well, and its easy to drive. The “3 on the tree” manual transmission shifts properly. Whether you’re heading to Margaritaville at 5 o’clock, or just out for a pleasure drive on a nice ragtop day, you’ll have no worries.
As far as condition, its good. The body is straight and the interior is in very, very good shape. The convertible top is also in very good shape, but it does not latch properly at the front. This isn’t ready to be a show car, but its a nice driver. We don’t know the actual mileage on the vehicle, but we’re betting its seen more smiles than miles.
It does have an AM/FM/Cassette radio, but the car doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles…oh wait…there IS a whistle: the “sexy girl” whistle sounds when you push a button on the dash.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4300
This looks like a pretty easy project … but looks can be deceiving.
“1950 WILLYS JEEPSTER. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN DRY BARN STORAGE FOR 28 YEARS. HAS NOT BEEN RUN IN THAT TIME BUT THE ENGINE STILL TURNS FREELY. IT IS NOT A PERFECT VEHICLKE BUT A NICE LOOKING VEHICLE THAT HAD SOME RUST WORK REPAIRED MANY YEARS AGO. NEEDS A GAS TANK. THIS IS NOT A DRIVER AT THIS TIME BUT WOULD NOT TAKE TOO MUCH TO MAKE IT ONE.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5900
(11/01/09) It looks pretty nice for being unrestored.
“Original, unrestored jeepster. Was repainted once many years ago. 4 cyl F head engine. 3spd with overdrive. Runs and drives nice. May trade for Willys wagon, early Bronco, old car or truck”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2250.
The body on this appears in good shape. It might make a good project.
“1949 Willys Jeepster. 6 cylinder Hurricane motor. Needs total restoration.”
The valuation for this came out at $3500? Hmmmm.
“This is a rare factory 6cyl 1950 Jeep Willy’s Jeepster standard with overdrive. It has been stripped to the metal, all there and Barn stored since the 1970’s. There is surface rust easily amenable and one identified small area of rot on the left rear quarter. It is a resto project. The engine and trans are work the asking price. It is not running, all motor trans dash etch is there.”

UPDATE: Back on eBay
(04/22/2010) Here’s a solid look Jeepster that hasn’t been restored yet.
“THIS IS A GREAT LITTLE 1950 WILLYS JEEPSTER FRESH OUT OF THE BARN……..I BOUGHT THIS JEEP ABOUT 35 YEARS AGO FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER, WHICH MAKES ME THE SECOND OWNER…….THIS JEEPSTER WAS ORIGINALLY BOUGHT NEW IN NEW HAMPSHIRE, AND DRIVEN TO UTAH IN THE 1960’S…….I PURCHASED IT AND HAVE HAD IT IN STORAGE EVER SINCE, WAITING FOR ME TO GET THE TIME TO RESTORE IT…….IT HAS ALWAYS RUN GREAT…..IT IS MECHANICALLY ALL ORIGINAL, WITH 4 CYLINDER OVER HEAD VALVE (F-HEAD) HURRICANE ENGINE, THREE SPEED TRANSMISSION, AND OVER DRIVE……THE JEEP WILL NEED A NEW BATTERY, FRESH FUEL, AND PROBABLY A TUNE UP, SINCE IT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR SEVERAL YEARS. WE ALSO REMOVED THE OLD GLAS BECAUSE IT WAS YELLOWING AND WE WANTED TO PUT NEW GLASS IN…..WE WEREN’T ABLE TO FINISH THAT PROJECT, SO IT WILL NEED SOME NEW GLASS….IT’S ALL FLAT GLASS, SO WON’T BE TOO EXPENSIVE. THE BODY ON THIS JEEP IS JUST ABOUT PERFECT, VERY SOLID, WITH NO RUST THROUGH, OTHER THAN A HOLE IN THE DIVER’S SIDE FLOOR BOARD, WHICH HAS BEEN PATCHED AT ONE TIME LONG AGO, AND WILL NEED TO BE PATCHED AGAIN. THIS CAR IS AN EXCELLENT CANDIDATE FOR RESTORATION, SINCE IT IS VERY STRAIGHT AND MECHANICALLY ALL ORIGINAL. CLEAR TITLE……”
It looks nice and a good price.
“1949 Willys Jeepster convertible, 4 cylinder, 3 speed with overdrive, lots of new brake and front end parts, looks and drives good, recent “driver” quality paint job, seats recovered in brown corduroy, top and side curtains in great shape, newer radial tires, some bondo on rockers but rest of the body and frame are solid. Fun to drive and very collectible! Make an offer! 630-309-0269″
