1953 Willys M170 $5,000 Cedar Grove, IN

This looks to me like a M170 with the drivers side with that long section and the passenger side.

M170 are 20” longer then the M38-A1.

Might be a good find here looks like in good shape.

12V Conversion, but from the other post from today you can still dig up the 24V Stuff if you want it.

Willys CJ5 $1000 Ellijay, GA

There are 2 Willys the M38A1 is pending already, but maybe the CJ5 is still there?

CJ5 has a front winch and Im not really good at years, if it’s a CJ5 I would best guess an earlier one ‘54, ’55 just a guess maybe you guys can dial these in for me. The cut out and battery box are on a lot of CJ5 just not functional, but has the Jeep on the side and some other things that Im going CJ5, just not the best with the exact year. I will post the M38A1 photos for record on what it was posted as.

Information from seller:

I have 2 Willy’s I got at an estate sell. One is quite a bit nicer, was asking $1500 for that one and $1000 for the other. I know nothing about them. No keys either

1954 Jeep Willys Kaiser M38A1 $1,500 New Carlisle, IN

M38A1, some good shots of what I would think make this a M38A1 vs CJ.

Of course the functional battery box which is present on CJ’s as well so that does not always work.

Has the tail gate delete this time you can see the very typical Willys floor supports used in the panel support areas that was neat for me to see that detail.

Then the gauges of course have the typical removeable panel.

The extra plug locations in the body.

The “Jeep” delete from the side panels.

There are a bunch more details that you folks are very more informed about, but from a novice this is a good example to learn from to see some of what makes certain M38A1 vs a CJ.

Now not a clue besides looking at a data plate to tell it’s actually a ’54, so just posting how they  posted it. There are some things missing here for sure not going down that road at all either.

Still learning on these things for sure, so if there are errors in what I post up happy to make corrections to the information. So would not be surprised if this turned out to be a CJ for X, Y, Z reasons and ruin my post!!!

Information from seller:

Here’s a Kaiser I bought a while back and planned on doing something with it. Realize I’m not gonna get to it and time for it to go pretty much you can see everything in the pictures on how it is not perfect not bad. The title I have for it was torn when I bought itbut that’s how I’m gonna sell it too. What do you see? Is what you get no more no less I didn’t take anything off of it since these pictures. I did notice the transmission shifter is not moving so I’m assuming that’s bad. Transfer case shifter moves. Lockout are both on there. I do have a Kabota V 2203 that I was planning on putting in it that I would sell for an extra $1500. I will take it down when it’s sold

Surprised these did not have a full floating rear axles, just something that popped out to me looking at the pictures. Looks like a neat rig.

Information from seller:

This authentic military issue M38A1 is all original numbers match and very little has wear and tear. Original canvas and interior in great shape. 4cyl manual, gasoline, and is definitely a head turner. We drive it all around town but it needs a new home where the new owner can take it to shows which we don’t have time for. Not interested in trades

1953 Willys Jeep M38A1 $5,500 Columbiana, AL

Needs some work on this one, but it also has a lot that is here to start with.

Information from seller:

1953 M38A1 that runs, drives and stops. You have to pump the brakes but other than that it actually drives nicely. New in the last few months: 4 new tires; new master cylinder, brake lines, wheel cylinders and shoes; new battery (12 volt); carburater; points, pulgs and wires; new taillights (stop, turn signals and headlights all work); I am sure I am missing something. It could use paint but I personally like it this way. 4WD works great in both high and low range. No joyrides. Tagged and insured in my name.
