Looks solid.
“1952 Military M38 -a1 for sale. Jeep is solid. It runs and drives good. Brakes and park brake work. Tires are dry but still running them with no problems. Under carriage is clean and not rusted. I changed it from 24 to 12 volt but still have the 24 volt stuff. Has a clean title, asking $7000.00. ”
This might be worth a look. Note the transferase dash plate with light. What combo causes the light to go on?

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000. The seller tells me this was owned by Larry Minor.
This has a couple classic Fresno upgrades like the doors and the dash. I learned the other day that Edgewood 4×4 near Tacoma, Washington, used to sell a custom fiberglass dash for M-38A1s/CJ-5s. I’ll try to find some pics. I saw one in person, but didn’t have a camera with me.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
It runs, but needs some work. Has an overdrive and an unusual rear carrier.
“Classic Little m38a1 / cj5 engine starts and runs but this Jeep has been sitting for over 15 years it will need the fuel tanks cleaned and many other things to get it back on the road , ie brakes etc. 5.38 gears, only bikini top, and duster. Rack for gas cans, roll bar, lots of custom old style build stuff.
This was a friends who recently passed away. Clear title, as is. Can start the engine for you, but not drivable.”
