Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1956 M38-A1 jeep. This is a running jeep that has been in inside storeage for years. It has some body rust and it has been converted to 12v. It has the factory koeing winch that works. It could be used on a farm or ranch off road or it could be restored to drive on the highway. ”

This has a rare Hickey sidewinder winch.
“This 1954 Willys Jeep M38A1 was recently discovered in a U.S. Government Warehouse in Logan, Utah, And had been stored there since 1986 !!
It was Manufactured by Willys–Overland (MB) in 1954. Officially called by U.S. Military a Willys M38A1 or Willys MD, it was the first “round fender” Willys.
The Willys M38A1 or (MD) was built from 1952 until 1957 for the U.S. military forces and from 1958 until 1971 for export to foreign governments. The United States Marine Corps continued to order and use the M38A1 until 1971. The M38A1 was so well liked, they introduced the CJ-5 in 1955 based on its design.

Appears to have an incorrect tailgate, but it looks solid.

“Willys m38a1 runs good needs very little. This jeep would be the perfect restoration project as it needs very little and runs excellent. I have the spare tire and rim just needs to be mounted, also have a few other misc parts that can be added.”

Has some minor updates. Might make a good restoration.
“Unrestored Military Jeep M38A1. 12 volt elec. system, runs and drives good. Have canvas top and doors (no shown). New non-directional tires on correct wheels. Hi-lift jack, roll bars, receiver hitch, seat belts, oil filter canister and custom tow hitch.”

Seller indicates there might be more than one. Seller is selling a variety of vehicles.
