This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. There are multiple ads across the country for a 1953 M-38A1 for only $3000. This too-good-to-be-true offer is made using a gmail address that is also selling other vehicles across the country. It looks like a scammer to me.

“1952 Willy’s Jeep Forest fire truck;
This is a unique fire truck in that it is a Willy’s Jeep AND easily fits in your garage! Former military unit (ex Marines, I believe). Runs and drives great- needs some TLC for the true Willy’s Jeep detail. It appears to be “shop built” either by military or a fire dept. as a fire pumper, but used a “Barton” front mount 500 gpm conversion kit of the day. The side compartments are ex-ammo boxes!
UPDATE: Was $1500. **Status Unknown**.
It doesn’t run, but does have an unusual hardtop.
