Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This jeep, which is a mix of parts, has a set of Free-Lock Hubs on it.
“I have a RARE Willy’s CJ2a with a MB converted front end with a 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon Sprint 260ci V8 solid lifter Commando motor and Rare Factory installed Manual Overdrive!! That’s right 4 sticks 3 speed manual, manual overdrive, 4wd in and out and 3 speed transfer case high,low and PTO. Runs like new fresh tune up has a entire new front to back 16 fuse wiring harness installed with all new 5 gauge cluster. Only had 6,600 original miles came originally from retired Colonel at Fort Hood Texas was his weekend driver. Has brand new Goodyear Wrangler Military issued 33 x 9 x 16 over $1,200 cost in 16×7 military wheels. Has rebuilt drivetrain about 10years ago. Has lockouts on it. Upgraded leaf springs with coil over shocks for original winch bumper.
That’s quite a load to pull for that jeep!
