If you have the room your only limited by your imagination, this is pretty neat and with a 226 it should be a pretty capable rig!

The Flathead V8 has lots of room to breathe with the custom vents in the hood, extended range fuel tank on the passenger side, this could be a pretty neat vehicle for someone’s farm, small race track on demo derby night to pull back some racers……

Seller’s description

1948 Willy’s. What you see is what you get on this one. It’s pretty much all there but needs some work. It has a homemade boom in the bed that is pto driven. I have not tried to start it personally but it supposedly ran 10ish years ago. It has a clean/clear title.

I liked this one, had not run across this one before.

Not to say it’s not already posted here on eWillys there is alot of content here! But either way from time to time what’s old is new again, at some point the plan will probably included to go over the archives and pull up some of the older stuff. It’s probably new to alot of us.

1947 Delivery Fresno, CA $5,000 (Drag Willys)

So here is one Andy tossed my way, I don’t see this as a viable Drag Racing anything here, but you can absolutely build it to what you need this to be. You will need some “Vision” here.

The Delivery with Barn Doors is the cool part to me, along with the patina, it looks solid.

IMO I’m taking this off the chassis they tossed together that sounds like it all needs to be rebuilt anyway and you have a really neat Willys to work with there are some areas that look done like the firewall and transmission tunnel. Floor looks really nice,

No title so that’s a negative, not being sold as a street legal anything here so its going to require some work.

The collection of parts is impressive, for how much modification has been done, I don’t personally see the pay back here at the price point in parts alone so your going to need a plan here as far as use and project base goes.

If it was on my way home, I would stop in and take a look and see what the deal is here if you looking for a project base.

From the Ad:

“I’m going to go ahead and get a VIN applied to this, so it may take a couple of months before this will be available for pickup.

Not sure of the year, but It’s an early Willys Panel. There is no VIN plate on this, and I have no idea what the VIN is.

We were going to make this into a twin turbo drag car. Comes will brand new glass and rubbers, door handle repair kit and LED headlights.

We had the frame, underside and interior of the body blasted. The frame has been painted, but some of the body was left raw and there is some mild surface rust to clean up.

The firewall has a brake master cylinder installed and smooth panels welded in. The frame, firewall and floor have been modified to fit a bigger transmission.

The original 2wd front suspension was cut out and a narrowed crown vic front suspension is partially installed.

We do have the hood, but I forgot to take a photo. The rear leaf hangars were cut out and aftermarket ones tacked in place.

The rear axle and springs are only mocked up and the axle will need a rebuild (Explorer 8.8).

You can buy it with, or without the crown vic front suspension.

I won’t sell parts, you’ll have to buy the body if you want the parts. No trades, sorry. Bill of sale only, remember, there is no VIN, so it might be difficult to title if you’re planning on street registering it.”

Posted as a 1955 226, no engine installed, but you can make out a very little part of the gauges and the rear gate is split so could be. Has the longer input shaft on T90 for a 6 cylinder, and has the extra shifter so should have a Overdrive with this one, which is a bonus.

Looking inside there are more surprises besides the vintage buckets, the heater box and controls are the later post mid 1962 commonly supplied on the 230_OHC Wagons and trucks, then the later CJ’s had a version of these as well. So they could be of interest to some collectors.

You start adding it up and you have a good little chunk of parts here for sure. I’m not sure you have a break even parting this out when you start adding it all up at the current asking price, but parts are parts.

This is a total project as far as a restoration goes, you are not getting that “out West” rust free start here with this one.

From the Ad:

“It’s a 1955 6-266 Willy’s Jeep Wagon This will be a major restoration project for whoever buys it. It needs alot of fabrication as it has a ton of rust / rot. Serious inquiries only. Title: Vintage [hidden information] Station Wagon Project Car Willy’s Jeep Make an offer. Price is very negotiable! I don’t want to trade. I have too many cars! Condition: Non-running, requires tow; has rust; engine disassembled years ago with various parts sorted in boxes within the car(in pictures) Includes: Original title, owner’s and service manuals, old part receipts. Note: Vehicle hasn’t run in 20+ years. Has been sitting in the SoCal sun the entire time. This is going to be a huge project for whoever buys it. Lots of rust + fabrication needed, if you don’t know how to restore a car then this is not for you!
