Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The current bid on this is $126,000. Terry shared this, as it includes an interesting fact. This was assembled by Willys of Mexico, according to the sales post.

“This 1957 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce is a lightweight “Alleggerita” model that was originally ordered in early 1957 by AutoSport S.A. Mexico of Mexico City. It was built on July 2, 1957 and was assembled by Willys Mexicana, S.A. after being imported in a crate without its engine or wheels installed. The car was raced throughout Mexico during the 1960s, and was driven sparingly on the road in the 1970s before spending the next several decades in storage. …..”

It’s a project.
“I started dismantling this project for a full resto and had to put it aside so the pictures in listing are it’s former state and current state with all the pieces in the vehicle. Everything is in the vehicle to either just put it right back together or keep going and fully restore it. Ran and drove great before it was dismantled. No issues other than a few leaks no rust Looking for $4500 best reasonable offer.”

“The frame and bulkhead on this rig are rusted out, so I have parted it out. I have a good set of pictures of most of the large parts.
I am offering the large body parts first. smaller parts will go after I have them sorted and cleaned up. If you need something specific, you can ask for it.
Given the size of the parts, I prefer if you pick them up. If I have to box and ship them, I will need to charge for that. I will probably also list many of these parts on eBay also. ”
Not sure how much value is here. Has a Beck/Kelly half top, but it looks pretty rusted.

Joe shared these two Albany Police Department police photos posted by Albany’s Times Union online newspaper. The CJ-2A riot jeep is pic #30 of 35. The Wagon is pic #2 of 35.
Roger Martin shared this photo of, most likely, a CJ-2A or CJ-3A that was modified and outfitted with a camera. He spotted on Facebook. It was used on the set of the original Road Warrior Movie.
I was unable to find another photo of the camera jeep, but I did find a modified CJ-3B used for the Road Warrior (Fury Road) remake.
