Rebuilt transmission and f head swap with hardened valves. 11″ brake upgrade in front. Back brakes capped at the moment. Comes with various parts. Authentic WWII production. Ridiculous low-ballers will be ignored.”

(04/27/2017) Blaine spotted this ex-fire jeep. Engine is stuck at this time.
“Clear SD title. Tires are 90% and jeep is pretty complete. Front bumper and some other odds and ends missing. The engine was stuck when I bought it so I pulled the spark plugs and put some PB blaster in the cylinders to work on freeing them up. Jeep has matching body number to vehicle data plate. Has correct military motor. Some rust in the usual places and a few small spots were cut out in the bed where a fire dept had a water tank mounted. Also have roll cage included, but not pictured. I was going to restore this back to military appearance, but honestly have too many projects so I’m selling it for what I have into it. Here is your chance to own a genuine military army jeep!”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(01/12/2020) Not sure how much value is here, but there is value. Seller is looking for offers.

Will Parish & Perk Perkins authored a book about their trip around the world in a CJ-5. Anyone familiar with it? The cheapest price I could find was priced at $49.
Abstract: Around the World in a Jeep recounts the 1975 grand plan of Orvis CEO Perk Perkins and his then college roommate, Will Parish, to drive around the world in Will’s beloved red Jeep. Over the next 20 months, Perk, Will, and their trusty Jeep crossed five oceans and seas, exploring 35 countries and covering enough road-miles to circumnavigate the earth twice. In addition to cementing their relationship as lifelong best friends, the trip also generated some 2,000 pages of journal entries, which make up the text of this remarkable volume. Illustrated by stunning full-color photographs taken by Perk, Will, and the people they encountered, this beautifully printed and bound adventure book belongs in the collection of everyone who has a yearning to explore, travel, and discover the richness our world has to offer. 12″ x 9″ hardcover
There are at least two book covers:

An April 26, 1946, photo in Arizona’s The Coolidge Examiner shows hopeful Congressional Medal of Honor winner Clyde Choate campaigning in a VEC CJ-2A during his 1946 Illinois State Assembly campaign. He would win this election and go on to serve another thirty years in pubic office.
Looks solid.
