About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Looks fun, has some new stuff, needs some new stuff.
Information from seller:
Great little jeep. Runs and drives well. All lights work. New tires and many new other parts including fuel pump spark plugs and spark plugs wires steering wheel and front bumper. The battery and shifter boots are also new. Seat frames recently painted. I have driven this jeep for 2 hours nonstop on a road trip recently. It’s pretty solid some rust in rear floor but for an old jeep it is in decent shape. I also have a new replacement tub that I would sell for a additional 3000.
Data plate looks legit, screws look correct, if so works out to an Early CJ-6 from 1956.
So it’s a project, but if your into the early rigs might be something to look at here to see how they progressed with the tub and the sort over time.
Also has a half cab.
Information from seller:
Late 1950s early 60s CJ6 Willys jeep NO TITLE oldsmobile 225 odd fire v6 DOSE NOT RUN good solid frame 2 stick transfercase 3 speed transmission asking $850 obo No trades
CJ-6, I’m not in the Very Rare in all caps, but they are not super common, but lots of great examples out there for sure. Not knocking this one, it looks fairly solid and would make a nice project. I would have to come down on the price a bit, only because its going to need quite a bit, they all do. Also not a fan of the pics when wet approach, its hard for me to see if that’s damage on the one side or just shadows.
I like it for sure would like a CJ-6 in the collection.
Information from seller:
VERY RARE 61 CJ6 WITH WILLYS ENGINE , 21 inches longer than regular jeep only a few made with Willy’s engine
Restomod. But get in and drive and enjoy. Might be a neat ride not for the purist, but just get out and enjoy. Lots for comfort upticks, Auto, PS, PB, new tires, nice paint.
Information from seller:
WOW ! Super Head Turner Fun Hot Rod Wiilys JEEPSTER SURFER EDITION modified with a vette v8 ! Feel the fun! Totally restored with build book! It’s an auto w/ overdrive, power steering, power brakes ! Has new top new tires and ready to drive ANYWHERE! paint and chime is super clean and and mirror like! Best xmas present EVER!
230_OHC Tornado powered J200. Nice rig, needs some work, this would have some of the later mod’s to the 230 possibly. They are cool trucks there are a few members over at OWF with 230 Powered J Trucks, they are pretty cool. This is a project for sure. But still a neat rig, D44 front and rear noted.
Information from seller:
1964 Jeep J200 Gladiator J Truck Willys Kaiser clean Florida title, Dana 44 front and rear axles, clean frame but rusty body, inline 6 Tornado doesn’t run and hasn’t in years
Price not in my range, but it’s a cool utility body J truck. Looks solid and has a neat Patina.
The axles are pretty serious in this rig. You could use this still today as a capable work truck, imagine this vs a new small pick up, so the price does not scare me for say $15k all in you would have a cool work rig. I like this one.
F-161 nice uptick and using a Willys power plant, that’s cool. Complete project, I will say it’s a Salad but really this could be a neat rig.
Information from seller:
For sale is a 1946 Willys CJ2A. It has had a 1950s Willys Hurricane 6 cylinder installed in place of the original 4 cylinder. Cranks easily and runs well. Shifts fine and the brakes work. Was used out west as a hunt club vehicle so there is no title. Vin plate on frame is in place so a bonded NC title will be no problem. New gas tank. Good radiator . Generator puts out a solid 13 volts. Seat frames are present but will need recovering. Has locking hubs and tow bar. Windshield is frame only. I have some additional CJ2A parts and repair panels that are not included in this listing but I will be glad to discuss in person with a potential buyer. This will work as is for an off road hunt vehicle or would make a good restoration project. $2950. Please excuse some the FB mandated nonsense in “about this vehicle ” section. Mileage is unknown. Color is vintage mixed Willys.
Wow this thing is huge looking, not a Willys, but call this mission creep. If the paint is original its in great shape, but possible it’s been repainted. Full floater out back. Only 2WD so that’s a minus.
Either way I thought it was cool.
Information from seller:
It’s not a scout! IH made the original SUV. This is a mostly original survivor condition Travelall with about 44,000 miles. There are a few rust spots in the normal locations for these vehicles, under the windshield drivers side and around the rear wheel opening, very fixable. It’s 2wd with 345 engine, will haul or tow anything. Sounds and drives great. New shocks, gearbox and tires with 16” rims, also has the original wheels (16.5” rims) and hubcaps. It comes with factory ac that works and has been updated. It is all there and in great shape from headliner and interior to exterior, dual tanks that both work and the electric rear window works as well. Classic’s always get looks but people do double takes trying to figure out what they just saw when they see this. Firm price, not interested in trades unless its 67-72 Chevy or ford truck in similar condition.
Former Bantam Building in Butler County Destroyed by Fire
Jeff sent this over, I did catch this on OWF and the local news.
There is not much left to the Willys stuff in Toledo. I do recall there was a lot more out in Toledo in the early 2000’s. The one smoke stack is there.
But back to this one, it might be cool if they sold off some of the bricks to preserve and possible raise some funds for a small area, lots of supporters out in Butler area and around the country.
A part of American history for sure out there!
