“This is a willys L134 Engine, short block. Not sure the year of the engine, it was removed from a 1948 Willys CJ2A.
Pros- Ran great when pulled, I have a video of it running. Great oil pressure, also have a video.
Block is solid, I can not see any cracks or leaks. It has been rebuilt at one point in its life, the cylinders sleeved back to stock standard 3.125” dia.
Only what you see in the pictures is included in the sale. All internal components are in the engine. Head, Carburetor, Fuel Pump, oil filter canister, oil filler tube not included in the sale.
Cons – One of the exhaust manifold bolts is broken off. One of the pistons has a chipped edge on the top groove, see picture. No shipping local pick up. $450.00 or Best offer, Cash or PayPay only. Thanks for looking, please message me with questions or requests for more pictures or videos. I am parting out (3) Willys so if you need other parts let me know what you need and I’ll see if I have it. L134″
UPDATE: Price dropped to $14,900.
This has potential, but the price is certainly hopeful. This was listed for sale back in 2017 for just under $10k.

(06/30/2019) Tom shared this oddity. This seems to be a late model DJ-3A body and windshield (design for a Koenig top) mounted on a (probably) CJ-2A chassis with a Meyer Half-top. That’s a combo I don’t think I’ve seen before.

“Jeep’s a 1947 and a 1949 one title. Lots of extra parts one has a 283 in it runs decent other one a 4 cylinder not running all tore apart. There’s a 4×4 box of extra parts floors, floor saports, battery boxes.”

The May 1967 issue of Popular Mechanics includes the article “Four-Wheel Safari Test In the Rugged Rockies”. The article covers a two-day test in the high mountains of Colorado from Telluride to Ouray. The main goal was to see if the Ford Bronco and/or the International Scout could compete with a V-6 equipped CJ-5. The conclusion was interesting.
Seems a bit on the pricey side (currently $145), but I don’t know what these are worth. A neat piece though.
