(06/18/2019) Doesn’t run at the moment.
“Attention Collectors & Mechanics. I’m selling a 1947 Willy’s Jeep in good shape for its age doesn’t run not sure what’s wrong and don’t know much about it. It was a family members who has since passed away.”
Some days you wish you could do over. Bernd had one of those days recently. His goal was to transport a ride-on lawyer mower to the Austrian workshop to repair an oil leak. After loading the lawnmower, he discovered his CJ-5 needed gas, so he drove to the local gas station and put in about a half tank, then proceeded on his way.
Soon, his jeep wasn’t quite running correctly. Remembering he still had his receipt from the gas station, he pulled it out only to discover that he filled up with diesel instead of standard gas.
So, Bernd sent the CJ-5 to a ‘spa’ for some cleaning and reinvigorating. We hope it recovers soon!
Obviously the price is high for the market, but apart from that, there’s some nice work on this build. Looks like it has both a standard fan and an electric fan. Probably a great road and trail jeep given the 4.10s and the T-18 low range.

“Willys M-38 Jeep . 350 Corvette engine, T-18 4 speed trans w/6.39 1st gear. 2 1/2″ Rancho Lift, 33×12 General M/T, full roll cage, racing seats with 5 point harness, 8 thousand pound Warn winch, electric engine fan, Currie 9” Ford axles with Detroit Locker in the rear and a Track Lock in the front, 4.10’s, battery disconnect, front disc brakes, and a whole bunch more. This is a solid Jeep, all professionally built.”
Runs and drives. Looks like it might have had bow holders that were removed, but can’t tell for sure.

“This is an unrestored all orginal 1946 cj2a. It was found under the bed of a Chevy truck a few years back. It does run and drive but a few things would need to be updated if you want to use it for more than parades or a car show. I’ve been on the fence about parting with it just because I won’t ever find one like this again.”
This one has an unusual color scheme. Also note that the front frame rails drop down farther than was stock.
