Jeep Willys Hard Top $650 Prescott, AZ

I don’t know when this one was posted, but its still up and seller has a few other items on their page for sale, like some military rims, a tailgate, and some newer non Willys looking doors.

Looks interesting, one day I need to catch up on all these Hard Tops and what they are and the sort, values (we know how that works as much as someone is willing to pay, but I have posted some crazy ones that were $1500 down to $50, it’s a large range at times)

This looks like a legit decent Hard Top, feel free to drop some tips in the comments if these are stuff you like to see.

At $650 I’m thinking if I was local and in the market I’m going to swing by and take a look at this. How folks remove the posted date on these IDK either. That happens from time to time. If this was posted 2 years ago would be nice to know that.

Beautiful FC170 Stakebed in AZ was sent over by John via email to post@ewillys.com

Complete nothing left untouched from what the photos show high level restoration, really sharp looking FC170 Dually.

If you are looking for a real gem this may me the one you have been waiting for.

Also has some great photos of the frame and undercarriage for record if your doing an FC170 worth checking out.

Looks to have a PowrLock out back as well, not sure on the Ratio, I feel the 226’s came with 4.88 pretty standard. This could benefit maybe from an OD if cruising down the big road. That would be a fun project in an FC to get that linkage sorted out.

One question for either John or the group what is the Dock Height of the rear bed? Can you back up to a modern day loading dock and use this? I know out my way there are some old school feed stores where they have pick up truck height that is much lower then they have a much taller call it standard dock height. Find a practical use and put another 50k miles on this rig! A driven Willys is a happy Willys!

Nut and bolt restoration in progress. Chassis and drivetrain completed. Over $80,000 invested at this point. You can continue the project for a fraction of my cost. This vehicle is 1 of only 1134 produced. It has less than 50,000 miles and minimal body rust. All original numbers matching Pugnose jeep. Everything showing wear was replaced or rebuilt. I only have knowledge of three existing today and none restored to this level of originality. Let’s talk about price.

Lots to read…… honest review of the state of the Jeep. I broke it up a bit so you can see the bullet points from the seller.

Information from seller:

1962 Willys CJ5 Jeep. Manufactured in Toledo Ohio at Willy’s motors.

Original except for a few motor parts that were difficult to find. (I have the old ones).

Runs, drives, and stops.

Comes with a metal top and doors. I don’t have them installed.

Needs very little to be street legal. ( brake lights not working and right turn signal inoperative) .

Needs a wiper arm and blade for drivers side and blade for passenger side. Passenger side is a manual operated wiper.

The fuel gauge and temp gauge do not work.

The speedometer may work if you hook up the cable, I don’t know. I only used it around my property or only drove it to Tallapoosa occasionally.

All original parts and supplies are available from KaiserWillys.com. The company specializes in antique Jeep parts and restoration efforts.

This Jeep doesn’t go very fast on the highway and did not come with seatbelts.

The exhaust is a little loud due to a blown gasket at the manifold outlet. A new exhaust from there back would make it very quiet again.

There is some rust under the body around the rear and under he fenders.

New body components are available from the company I mentioned.

They are very pleasant to deal with and are located in South Carolina.

This is not a really safe vehicle for young people because you sit above the fuel tank and there are no seatbelts.

Please serious inquiries only. We can test drive it down the dirt road if you are a serious buyer. If you have a 2” ball on your vehicle you can tow it home.

Neat CJ, might be a combo of some earlier parts as well, grill for example looks earlier then a ’48 for example.

More pictures added……….. Running & driving project with Original L-134 4 cylinder and T-90 transmission. Fresh rebuild on front axle and new front leaf springs when front frame horns were replaced. Sides and floors have had sheet metal laid over original metal long time ago. Original floors are rusty but can’t see sides. I have added new seat frames, front bumper, fuel tank and lines, rebuilt original fuel pump and carb.

There are 2 Willys the M38A1 is pending already, but maybe the CJ5 is still there?

CJ5 has a front winch and Im not really good at years, if it’s a CJ5 I would best guess an earlier one ‘54, ’55 just a guess maybe you guys can dial these in for me. The cut out and battery box are on a lot of CJ5 just not functional, but has the Jeep on the side and some other things that Im going CJ5, just not the best with the exact year. I will post the M38A1 photos for record on what it was posted as.

I have 2 Willy’s I got at an estate sell. One is quite a bit nicer, was asking $1500 for that one and $1000 for the other. I know nothing about them. No keys either

I’ve decided to sell my 1971 Honda CB500-Four K0. I spent about 18 months doing a frame off restoration on the bike. Every part of the bike has been cleaned, polished, or painted. The fuel tank was stripped, primed and painted with 4 coats of Toyota Calvary Blue and 6 coats of 2k Clear over the paint and stripes. The inside of the tank was acid cleaned and lined. New seals and bearings throughout, complete new wiring harness, new brakes, new rims and spokes on polished original hubs, new tires, new Delkavic four into one exhaust, new coils and plug wires, new clutch, new rear shocks, rebuilt and polished front forks, new chain, new signal lights, new seat, new handlebars grips and all switch controls, new mirrors, new clutch, brake, speedo, and tach cables, and more. The bike runs perfectly and rides like a new 1971 Honda. The only cosmetic defects are the front fender which had a dent that has been straightened, and the points cover has scratches on it. It’s a beautiful bike, and is roadworthy to take you anywhere. It’s a blast to ride. I’m only selling to move on to another project. Asking $6500 OBO. Willing to trade for a clean Audi TT MK1.

Stake Bed Truck, I think that is a legit Stake Bed there, the funky brackets are a good detail, unless someone was slick enough to copy that set up on their bed. No slats and new wood of course. But nice looking F134.

Listed as a 1964, has a 230 Tornado 230_OHC. Some things are taken off like the Cap, Exhaust Manifold (its shown on the back of the rig), Carb these would be a 1BBL set up vs the Wagon/Truck 2BBL. Happy to decode the engine block, head if anyone is near by, but it looks like its been in there a while. Rest of the rig has some rust at the roof seams that can be tough at times, obviously missing a bed and all that. Has some classic Wagon Wheels and some meats on there!
