Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Glenn spotted this DJ-3A. The paint looks nice on this (and nearly matches Patterson). Seller suggests this is a museum quality restoration, but it’s missing hubcaps, the air cleaner hose, and the horn button. It also lacks the windshield twist locks for the soft top and the soft top itself. The passenger side seat looks a little low.

Not sure how much value is here.
“1953 Willy’s 3B High hood body with a 3A motor. Drive train functions well all gears forward/reverse. Brakes ok however the starter went out needs replacing. Motor turns over and runs with new starter. As stated above the motor is the L head and not the F head. Hard top and doors comes with plow.”
Includes a new fiberglass body. The V6 badge suggests this is a mid to late 1960s CJ-5.

This appears to have a set of Free-Lock branded Dualmatic hubs. It’s listed as a 1948.

“Yes We have been working restoring this old Willy’s Jeep. Now I am ready to sale it. No it currently does not run yet. It ran when it was parked a few years ago. The old man who had it before me. Died. and there is no title. To be found. Have to start all over again. (Application for title) thru DMV. with (Statement of facts) and Bill of sale. I worked alot on the interior/exterior, sanding and painting. I had to purchase brand-new 1945 Willy’s Jeep seats and new windshield. I removed the Gas tank to clean it out. It still needs a good 12volt battery before trying to start it. And finish cleaning/installing gas tank.”
