This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1951 Press Photo Scottish soldiers in Korea chalked New Year greetings on a jeep. This is an original press photo. New Year greetings were extended to GI’s by these Scottish soldiers in Korea. They chalked the greetings on the upraised hood of a jeep while waiting for canned food to warm on the engine of the vehicle. The tam wearers are Pvt. Thomas Dunn and Pvt. George Cameron. KW – Troops – UN Photo measures 8 x 7.25 inches. Photo is dated 01-04-1951.”

“1951 Willy’s Wagon for sale.
161 Lightning flathead 6 cylinder.
Three speed manual transmission.
Four wheel drive.
600 miles on rebuilt motor.
Body was removed and all rust cut out.
New steel welded in as needed.
Frame was sand blasted and painted.
Underside has been undercoated.
Pretty much everything has been replaced with new or good rebuilt parts.
Runs and drives fine.
This is an older restoration and is not a show vehicle. This is a driver and has defects.
That being said it’s a cool head turning vehicle that will go through just about anything.
Very low gears so don’t plan on going fast in it.
These trucks were geared for off road use.”
