“For sale late sixties CJ5 Auburn Jeep A Trench 1968? Would make a great yard truck/ Plow Jeep,comes with dirt plow and snow plow. Starts, runs good and drives , clutch feels good , no brakes . Body’s kinda rough but frame looks pretty good . Havent had a chance to go over it well to check everything but seems to be pretty complete , missing one of the augers. PTO engages and shaft spins . Not very familiar with these units so will try my best to answer any questions. Looks complete enough to restore or get going and use as is, or would be a great parts donor for another Auburn Trencher unit. Front counter weight there ,as is the creeper gear , pto assembly, Fhead motor, overload springs ( Canfields or Koenigs ?) etc Too many Jeeps to work on this one needs a new home $2800 Feel free to call,text, or email for details , I will try my best to answer all questions. Needs work.

“Great project Jeep for someone. CLEAN TITLE Starts right up, runs and drives. Will need some work to be road worthy. Needs some wiring (chassis wiring) Needs brake work. (Master cylinder) One tire leaks down after a few days, will need new tube. Had some oil leaks that should be fixed before it is driven much. Currently has no seats but I’m working on getting some mounted. Motor is a Studebaker Flathead I6 170 from a early 50’s champion or similar The rest of the drivetrain is all original Willy’s. Chassis is rust free but the body has some rust. Will be a fun project for someone. Won’t take much to get it on the road.”

1946 VEC CJ-2A NJ **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.

It’s a column shift with indents (top indent at least) so likely a VEC CJ-2A. Body is rough, though has been patched in places. You don’t often see just one part time hub. I’d check to make sure the left front axle and/or front R&P doesn’t have some issue.

“I was told by the heirs that this was a 1948 Willys Jeep, I do not have a title, so I am unsure , there is a long number on the engine, that could lend a clue. This is a 3 speed standard trans, on the column, with two shift levers on the floor, it rolls easy, and the linkage is all free to the trans and transfer case. The odometer reads 38k miles, what you see is what I have, there are no extra parts, engine is complete, radiator and all parts in engine compartment intact.
Serious only, I’m sure the parts are hard to find for this vintage , possibly a 1947 Willys Jeep, Convertible,
the frame is good, rears are complete, and has locking hub on the front left wheel , under the paint is was a medium green when new.”

Facebook’s Marketplace

Everyone once in a while readers have forwarded Facebook Marketplace ads with a jeep for sale. But, for the most part I have ignored this resource. I just didn’t think there was much there. I was wrong.

There are a large number of vintage jeeps for sale that I haven’t seen listed elsewhere. I’ve listed a number of them in posts for today. However, I know not everyone has a FB account, so that doesn’t create a dilemma for some folks. I don’t have an answer of that just yet. I also don’t have a system yet for efficiently searching the Marketplace on a national basis, so I don’t know how using the Marketplace will effect my time.

To see what is possible, I plan to do research into the Marketplace platform. It would be great if I could automate some of this stuff, making less work for me and more jeeps for readers. We’ll see how it goes!
