The January 1963 issue of Playthings Magazine included this neat Tonka ad. I tried to find a full issue of Playthings Magazine on eBay, but there weren’t any 1960s that I could find. I suspect this is probably a rare ad.

Generator isn’t charging, but looks like it may be a good price.
“I have a 1948 Willy’s Jeep. Its all original besides the paint. Runs and drives. Original flat head 4 cylinder. It is still a 6 volt system. Clear title. Its in great shape besides the paint. It has a brand new 6 volt battery in it. The generator is not charging currently but would be easy fix. Has always been garage kept. It has been setting around 7 years. 1945 GPW Rolling Prairie, IN **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Appears in good shape.
“This 1945 Army Jeep with Willys trailer was meticulously restored by my uncle Erv.
From what I remember, he did a ground up restoration in the 1990’s and paid attention to detail. I do know he added and electric fuel pump a few years ago.
Erv was a mechanic in the army in the late 1950’s and always love military vehicles, this jeep was his pride and joy. I don’t think he ever missed a Memorial Day & Fourth of July day parade with it.
