UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500.

Looks in good shape.

“1962 Jeep FC-170 pickup. Runs and drives well. I bought it just a few weeks ago with plans for a major off-road build-up, but found another one at a better starting point for what I’m doing – this one is set up perfectly for someone who wants excellent bones for restoration that’s already a good driver. Frame is totally solid. Priced at what I bought it for. Just can’t afford to have more than one around right now.

Has the 226 cu in Super Hurricane engine with T90 transmission (3-speed on the floor) and D18 transfer case. In the last two years has had – replaced rims, tires, muffler, pistons, rings, radiator, plastic gas tank (original tank is included but has a leak if you want to restore), wheel cylinders for brakes, painted, vac wipers work! Side windows each have a crack, but they’re flat glass and very easy to replace. Windshield and rear window are good. Extra windshield included. Clear NJ title.”

Jack’s son-in-law David Watson shared this photo of Jack when he was Staff Sergeant Jack L. Moore, USAF, pulling guard duty with his M-38 jeep, M-1 carbine and .45 pistol. The photo was taken at Aviano Air Base, Italy, circa 1956. Jack was a member of the 614th Fighter Squadron, a F-84 unit, at the time. Jack’s not 85 and doing well!

Not sure what to make of these ads …. I spotted the Stockdale $2000 ad, then found the $5000 San Antonio ad. The look like the very same jeep, but different pics.
