Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Has rear full-floaters. The body has been repaired/patched in several places.

“1953 CJ3 with flat head four. Engine runs…….but not drivable in current condition. Brakes & carburetor need rebuild and gas tank has a leak. No history as it was purchased at auction. Only sales receipt available, no title. Make a good hunt vehicle or restore project. Either way – it needs major work before it can be driven. I communicate by email only.”

“This is a TH400 three speed automatic transmission that mates directly to AMC engines such as the 232 & 258 inline six and the 304 & 360 V8. It is adapted to a Dana 20 transfer case. It was in a Jeep CJ-7 that was parted out. The pair have been sitting inside a dusty barn for years and probably should be gone through before use. I live in Maynard and work in Burlington during the day and can show it at either place when I’m there. Looking for $700 or best offer.”
This is a custom project. What’s that on the front bumper? A seat?
“Rat Rod 1947 CJ transformed into a fast little jeep. Lots of new parts custom built on S10 frame. 2WD but is very responsive.”

“Selling a 1948 Willys truck street rod. I have no idea what the real mileage is on it.
She sits on an early 80s chevy s10 frame (2wd) has a ford 5.0 engine (although my mechanic thinks its a 289)
Edeobrock intake and rebuilt 1405 carb.
Automatic transmission with hurst shifter.
No power brakes
Power steering
Air conditioning
Power windows (passenger isnt working)
Custom fabrication on the bed. smoothed firewall, custom interior, modern wiring harness.
This was a street rod known around the area years ago.
I bought it from a friend not running, but it was driven and registered in 2013. I have it running now, but the engine seems to be missing a beat, still working on it when I have time.
What I’ve done so far:
Rebuilt carb at A-carburetor
New coil
New distributor
New ignition control module
New plugs and wires
Removed and cleaned fuel tank, installed new sending unit.
Had fan rewired
She runs now, but has a missfire I am still working on when time permits. If I were keeping her i would just pull the old driveline and put something newer in.
The parts n pieces in the photo of the interior are chrome parts, engine compartment metal from another Willys, and the hood/grill chrome, removed to protect it while working on her.
There is some rust at the doors, surface rust in the bed and passenger fender.
Otherwise she is in very good shape for her age, nothing I have worked on has been seized or deteriorated. ”

“Nicely restored and original 1952 Willys Military Jeep in Ordinance Green. Manual transmission with low range too. Everything works, looks good and is fun to drive. The attached photos will show you all you want to know about this Jeep.”

“Willys CJ3A; Replaced bushings in front end; replaced springs and shackles; installed a roll bar; new exhaust system; after market turn signals; rear jump seat with tool box; tow bar; carburetor has been rebuilt; 12v conversion.
Engine blows a little smoke. Newer battery with isolator device.”
