Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Selling my cj2a had plans to build it into a sick off road rig but gotta buy some new parts for my truck so parting ways with it has stock drive train with warn front hubs still has t90 3 speed trans with L head bell housing, no Engine, transfer driveshafts and all seats are in good shape no engine had plans to put a 4.3 in it since there is no engine but priorities changed shoot me a call or text have Arkansas title since that’s where I got it but just fill it out and your in your way”

A Ford GPA to the rescue!
“1943 Press Photo Army amphibious jeep delivers food to flooded hotel. This is an original press photo. With downtown Logansport IN inundated by the Wabash River guests stranded at the Barnett Hotel received their food via an Army amphibious jeep during the worst flood the area has known since 1913. Photo measures 8 x 6.25inches. Photo is dated 06-19-1943.”

“1946 CJ2A F4-Type motor runs and drivers. 4 wheel drive all works. Needs work to be road worthy. Tow bar. Push out windshield works. Tires in very good shape like new. Bucket seats. Brakes need work. New ignition system. Most electrical works.
1954 CJ3B no motor but has everything else. Bench seat in great shape. Extra motor parts (V6). Soft doors. Fold down windshield works.
$3000 or best offer for both. Will sell individually. Great for a summer project. Can deliver if needed within reason.”
Robert’s got his nice looking column shift up for sale.
“I’ll certainly miss it, but it’s time to put my column shift, 1946 CJ2A up for sale.
The body is in great condition. Of course it’s been painted some time during it’s 71 years. There is no visible rust. The floorboards and hat channels are solid. In case you didn’t know, the original willys floors were reinforced with thin metal C channels filled with wood. It was the perfect solution during the war, but the rotting wood quickly rusted the floors. Not this Willys. It’s still solid and original. Spending most of it’s life in California is probably the reason.
The engine was replace by the guy I bought it from. He said it’s a Jasper replacement engine. It’s also been converted to 12v out of a 1960s chrysler. I had the transmission rebuilt, along with all of the supporting parts (clutch, presure plate, throwout bearing, etc..) about 500 miles ago. That wasn’t cheap.
In the years that I’ve owned it, I’ve put less than 2000 miles on the odometer. In that time I’ve replace the following items.
16″NDT tires
Complete reproduction wire harness
Restored Carter carb with glass filter
Reproduction gauges
Fuel level sending unit
Rear seat
I’m sure there’s more I’m forgetting, but you are welcome to look through the folder full of receipts that I’ve kept.
I also have quite a few extra parts. Things like a vacuum wiper motor with line, a head, soft top bows, another transmission and much more.
The problems with it are a stuck horn button, the E brake doesn’t work, the carb needs adjusting (it backfires through the exhaust when you shut it off) and there is play in the steering.
Overall is an excellent, well preserved, CJ2a that I would not be afraid to drive anywhere. Add to that the fact that the column shifts were only produced for the first year and a half of production and you wind up with a very desirable old Jeep.
If you are serious about buying an old Jeep, don’t let this one slip by you. Column shifts in this condition don’t come along very often!”

“This is an authentic 1954 Willys Jeep. It was given to my dad by the original owner, my dad passed it to my son who has absolutely no interest. I need to sell to pay for last year of college tuition. Original hard top, stored inside. This vehicle has always been stored indoors. Includes a new wiring harness my dad wanted to install before his health failed. No electrical issues, he just always was “piddling” with this fun little vehicle. Soft top included which has a value of about $800. This price is NOT NEGOTIABLE, I have done the research and price is fair and reasonable. Only serious inquiries from collectors will be answered.
