Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (07/11/2016) Seems to be in good shape.
“1948 cj 2a Willys Jeep for sale $8000. I believe that it is 90% original. Still has 6 volt system and “Go Devil” L head engine. I have owned it for about 5 years and only drive it a few times a year. It seems to run great. When I purchased it I had a local mechanic service it and check it out for me.

The piping around the body edges is one way to deal with rust/damage. Seller lists it as a 1952 in one spot and a 1953 in another.

Currently has doors removed and all glass removed. Has spent the last 5 years inside. I had all anticipation to get this old girl up and running but after owning it for 9 years it is time to let her go. I have collected a fair amount of new and used parts that goes with it. (10/02/2016) Seller thinks this fits a CJ-5, but it looks like it’s on a flattie.
“Hard top for a jeep . It is aluminum and I believe it will fit a cj5 or cj7. It is a little to big for a willys Jeep but could be modified to fit one.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $900.
Though no pics have been provided, I have added a brochure to show these were advertised for the CJ-2A at one point. Here is more info on these. I didn’t know it had supports to mount it in the rear.

“Parting out a early 50s Willys m38 army Jeep. Extremely rusty and modified body. Has a Dauntless v6 engine. Frame looks to be in decent shape, but may have some modifications. Parts may fit cj jeeps as well. Not selling the VIN tag.
