Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a very nice Jeep. It has all that is in pics. I removed the top, windshield, and doors. I drove it today. 4wd works great. Very little rust on front left fender and top.

Paul identified this as the top made for the M-38, which W-O called the “Cab-Closure Hardtop“. Looks in great shape.

“This is a project I started years ago, but don’t have the time for now. The engine is a 1950 Studebaker Champion straight 6. The engine was running, the Jeep T-90 transmission and the transfer case are good. The Studebaker clutch is bad. Overall decent shape.”

(07/26/2016) Seller describes this as a military jeep, but it appears to be a 3A. It hasn’t been driven in a while.
