One pic shows it with a roof carrier and another doesn’t. It sure has a great vintage look.

“Here is a very rare and nice original 2wd willys jeep overland woody look wgn. Has rebuilt 4cyl flat head and 3 on column shift & over drive . Has amazing interior for the year, needs a little body work and paint, very little rust. This little wagon drives so nice for a 49, a must see. You wouldn’t find another like it, $7500.”

Has some floor rust.

“1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A. 8,200 original miles. Original L134 engine and 3 speed transmission. 4 Wheel drive and low range works fine. Steering is tight and does not wonder the road. Clean and rust free frame. Upgraded to 12 volt system and lighting. Has PTO and controls mounted without shaft. Many spare parts that include 2 rebuildable engine blocks, cylinder heads, manifolds, new brake shoes. flywheels, pressure plates. Note: does not have title but per IN BMV a title can be obtained. Passenger seat is not correct. Floor pans have some rust under the seats. Delivery available.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6000.

It’s a project.

“This is a military Ford jeep. The tub is a reproduction and most of the running gear is all original. The frame is painted olive drab green. This jeep is pretty close to being all stock with the exception of the paint,rollbar and bumpers. I have a spare tranny, front & rear axles to through in. The engine was rebuilt and has less than a thousand miles on it. She rolls on sixteen inch tires and wheels. The wiring has a new style fuse panel and I added the signal lights. All gages work except the gas gage, which only needs a sending unit. Minor scratches in the paint, no rust to speak of. This Jeep is fun to poke around in. It has always been stored in the garage since I braught her back to life. ”

“1953 M38A1 Engine is free. Has compression. Needs the gas tank hooked up. New brakes. New tail pipe and muffler (not installed). Has a 24 volt alt and regulator that test good. Fresh oil, filter, and spark plugs. Tires are suspect. Body has some rust under drivers seat and right rockers. Has lockout front hubs.”

Wed. Sept. 28th: We Made It Home Safely

The Stong Secret Caravan is in the books… What a trip! After driving 4,781 miles we’ve returned home. Half our trip was completed in the last three days … three long days (see maps below). Rosemary, who was feeling better for a while on Friday, relapsed in the afternoon after eating some food. She was once again convinced she was dying. I’m sure she’ll be her old, ornery self soon enough.

Nothing much to report from today’s final leg of the trip. Now that I’m back, I’ll rest a day or two, and then it’s time to begin work on Rusty. I also need to hunt down a scatter shield for Biscuit and begin marketing SLAG in ernest.

The trip down started September 16th and lasted until the afternoon of September 28th:

The trip back lasted from the afternoon of September 28th to midnight of September 30th. Not bad speed for traveling in a motorhome (not a whole lot of fun either):
