Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Maybe used as a push jeep for sprint/midget car racing at one time? That might explain the bumper. I can’t explain the hardtop. Note the radiator hood bump, too.

Listed as a 1943, it looks more like a CJ-2A. The tires (vintage super swampers?) look in good shape with lots of tread.

It runs, but that body looks like it is melting off. Still, hard to find late 3Bs like that.

Disassembled for painting. Looks like there’s plenty of parts. Looks like a Koenig hardtop.

“1947 Willy’s Jeep. Jeep ran fine but was not used as I bought a new car. This was supposed to be a daily driver but given the 4wd and gearing it was not usable for commuting. Safari windows and tow bar are original. Engine is not stock. Currently a 6 cylinder Studebaker. Body is in great condition and electrical has been redone. Asking $2400 O.B.O. Must be able to haul away. Has a clean title. ”
