Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Seller also has a fiberglass body and other parts for extra money (no pics provided of them).
“I have a willys jeep either a 1949 or a 1950 stock engine everything works runs an drives no rust always storerd inside 6 volt system guy before me put some new metal on outside as far as i know all original 5500 firm.
For extra money have bran new fiber glass body an almost all new parts to restore one plus a whole nother jeep that runs just needs water pump was gonna make them ls swaps but have no time up to trade for something equal in value thanks for looking”
Has a variety of updates.
“This is my 1949 CJ3A Willys Flat fender Jeep. I’m really sad to let it go however I have far too many toys in my shop and its time to make some room. Jeep is powered by a 4.3 Vortech V6 fuel injected motor. Fires right up and runs like a top! It has headers and side pipes and sounds awesome. Its backed by the factory T90 3 speed manual transmission and Dana 18 Transfer case. Jeep has Dana 44 Axles front and rear with 5.38 gearing and a locker in the front. Front axle has a disc brake conversion and power steering conversion as well. It really drives nice to be 67 years old! The interior was just pulled and the floor was coated with POR15 and the interior was put back in. The seats are from Beachwood Canvas and all gauges are newer and work, new gas tank and electric fuel pump, the brake master cylinder was recently rebuilt. The Jeep rides on a newer 4″ Superlift Springs that are nice and soft. The tires are BF Goodrich Mud Terrains with 67 miles on them. The wheels are from Pro Comp and are just as new. Has recessed rear taillights, newer windshield frame, heavy duty front bumper and lots more. The Jeep is really nice however it is 67 years old so don’t expect a brand new vehicle. ”

“I have a running and driving 1947 Jeep CJ2A available for sale with a clean Montana title. Located in Butte Montana. Very nice jeep but not perfect. Starts right up and drives well, 4 x 4 works great low and High. Does not have original motor or tire and wheels. From what I cam tell it a late 60’s Buick V6 in it now. I have only owned it a few months and do not know a lot about jeeps. I do know that it sure does turn heads when ever I am out driving it. I have noticed a few thing since I have owned it and they are listed below. P. S. original mileage is unknown
Known problems are.
1- Emergency cable is disconnected or missing
2 Small oil leak at timing cover
3 small anti freeze leak at thermostat or upper hose
4- Fuel gauge does not work
5- Electric cooling fans are controlled by a on off switch.”

Seller must sell quick. It appears to have an overdrive (not sure about the claimed PTO). It has a funky rear end carrier, too.

“Have 3 project trucks for sale . One being restored is a 1953. Rolling chasis has been completed. Lots of parts. Serious inquiries can come in person to see what I have.

“This Willys has a good running motor. The inside and outside has been Kevlar coated. This particular Jeep does have a PTO winch. We have quite a few of these and other miscellaneous projects at my shop right now. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Long story short? UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $300.
The rims are worth more than the trailer.
“This is a Bantam civilian trailer frame with military combat rims (WILLYS MB FORD GPW). The metal plate is bolted on the frame and can be removed. Correct original drawbar, landing leg, hithc. etc. $300.00”
Not sure how much value is here.
“Up for sale is a 1946 willys cj2a jeep. Jeep body is pretty rough but if you are a great body man you could save it. Jeep frame overall is in good condition. Some damage up front where someone cut a winch off many many years ago. Motor is original but not complete. I do have original Carter carb for it. I also have air cleaner and other motor parts laying around. Jeep hasn’t ran since early 1990s. Ran strong then but parts then came off and I have been collecting them back. Transfer case and transmission appear to be in good condition. Jeep will roll for loading. I also have an extra motor that is 95% complete that goes with it. It was used to power a welder so it has high hours but low rpms. Also included is a aftermarket tow bar and an original grille from another cj2a. I have both original front seat frames as well. Does have a clean PA title. I do have some wiggle room with my price but don’t waste my time with low ball offers. I will not trade either. Cash only”
